Destiny 2 All 6 Europa Case Files
Europa is Jupiter’s most hostile moon, a frozen Vex-and-Fallen nightmare wrapped in a permanent blizzard. Bungie hid 6 Case Files across it with zero map markers and zero in-game guidance. This is Bungie’s way of saying they respect your time. They do not respect your time.
The Europa Case File Collector Triumph is part of the Destiny 2 Monument of Triumph event, launched June 9, 2026: the game’s final live-service update. Completing it contributes to your Triumph score and the broader Monument progression. Gear is secondary. Finishing it before your friends is the actual reward.
Critical: Case Files only appear during an active Distortion on Europa. One destination is empowered per hour in the rotation. If Europa is not the active Distorted zone, you are here for nothing. Check the Director before you land.

Zone Overview
Europa has three patrol zones where files spawn. Each holds 2 of the 6. The map below should have been in-game. It is not.
| # | Zone | Sub-areas / Access | Enemies | Case Files |
| 01 | Cadmus Ridge | Bray Exoscience, Perdition Lost Sector | Fallen / Vex | x2 |
| 02 | Eventide Ruins | Riis-Reborn Approach, Bunker E15 Lost Sector | Fallen | x2 |
| 03 | Asterion Abyss | Nexus, Well of Infinitude, Concealed Void Lost Sector | Vex | x2 |
All three zones connect through Charon’s Crossing, home to Variks the Loyal: Europa’s vendor, who sells you weapons with complete indifference to your current struggle. The landing zones for Cadmus Ridge and Eventide Ruins are your fastest entry points when running the full Destiny 2 Beyond Light collectibles sweep.
All 6 Case File Locations
Cadmus Ridge
A snowfield battlefield between House Salvation and the Vex. The Bray Exoscience facility entrance sits on the western edge. Files do not glow. Files do not announce themselves. Welcome.
Cadmus Ridge: File 1

Glacier Cave, South Entrance
From the Cadmus Ridge landing, head south toward the cave entrance on the right side of the zone’s southern border. A Wyvern guards the interior. Clear it. The Case File sits against the rear cave wall, beside a Regional Chest. Kill the Wyvern. Collect both. Leave.
Cadmus Ridge: File 2

Bray Exoscience Rooftop
Navigate to the Bray Exoscience facility entrance on the western side of Cadmus Ridge. The file is on top of the building: climb the structure from the left side. No enemies guard this one, which means Bungie is lulling you into complacency for the next zone.
Eventide Ruins
The ruins of Clovis Bray’s colony. Once housed thousands of settlers. They are gone. Their absence is deeply on-brand for this moon. The Bunker E15 Lost Sector entrance is here: a large building on the north side with yellow paint and a blinking red light. Both files are interior, which means the blizzard is not your enemy for once. The Fallen are.
Eventide Ruins: File 3

Warehouse Shipping Container, South Building
Enter the large warehouse in the southern part of Eventide Ruins. On the first pillar to your right, jump up and into the stacked shipping containers. The file is in the middle container, tucked into a corner. It has been there the whole time. You simply did not look.
Eventide Ruins: File 4

Riis-Reborn Approach Walkway
Head toward Riis-Reborn Approach from the Eventide Ruins landing. In the building on the left before the gravity lifts, take the exterior walkway along the outer wall instead of going inside. Follow it to the dead end. The file is at the end of the walkway. The view is terrible.
Asterion Abyss
Home to Vex structures that extend kilometers below the ice: the patrol zone shows only the top. Concealed Void Lost Sector entrance is in the small cave beneath the Vex architecture. Both files require vertical awareness, which is the game’s polite way of saying you will fall twice before finding them. The Destiny 2 Europa Distortion Wyvern encounter also spawns here during active Distortion windows: deal with it if it blocks your path.
Asterion Abyss: File 5

Vex Pillar Top, Western Side
Locate the circular inverted-C Vex structure near the center of Asterion Abyss. Climb it. From the top, jump across to the lone Vex pillar to the west. The file is on top of that pillar. If you miss the jump, land, try again, say nothing about it to anyone.
Asterion Abyss: File 6

Glacier Crack Cave, North
Ride north from the previous pillar toward the large crevasse at the northern edge of Asterion Abyss. Where the slope meets the ice plane, the glacier surface has a visible crack. Enter it. The file is inside the cave. A Regional Chest is also here. Two for one. The moon is briefly generous.
The Distortion Requirement
Case Files only appear when Europa is the active Distorted destination. Monument of Triumph Distortions rotate hourly: one destination per hour gains a visual overhaul and boosted drop tiers. During an active Distortion, Heroic Public Events award higher-tier loot and Distortion-exclusive weapons become available.
The Europa Distortion window is your only window for this Triumph. The rotation includes Cosmodrome, Nessus, Europa, Dreaming City, Moon, Neomuna, and Throne World. Community tracking of the schedule is available post-launch. Do not guess. Do not assume. Check.
- Open the Director. Identify the active Distorted destination.
- If it is not Europa, close the Director and do something productive with your life.
- If it is Europa, land at Cadmus Ridge landing zone first.
- Clear Files 1 and 2 in Cadmus Ridge, then transition north to Eventide Ruins.
- Clear Files 3 and 4. The Eventide Ruins landing zone fast-travel skips the Cadmus Ridge-to-Ruins walk.
- Sparrow to Asterion Abyss. The Nexus is east. The files are west. Do not go to the Nexus.
- Clear Files 5 and 6. Hold the interaction prompt on each. Do not tap. Hold.
- The Triumph completes on the sixth file. Variks says something. Ignore Variks.

What are Europa Case Files in Destiny 2?
Hidden data logs across Europa, collectible during active Distortions for the Monument of Triumph Europa Case File Collector Triumph.
Do Europa Case Files only spawn during a Distortion?
Yes. Europa must be the active Distorted destination. Check the hourly rotation before wasting the trip.
Are Europa Case File locations marked on the map?
No. Ghost says nothing. The map shows nothing. That is intentional and deeply unpleasant design.
How many Europa Case Files are there total?
Six. Two per main patrol zone: Cadmus Ridge, Eventide Ruins, and Asterion Abyss.
Does the Europa Case File Collector Triumph give good rewards?
Triumph score and Monument progression. Gear is secondary. The real reward is being done with it.
