Genshin Impact F2P 4-Star Tier List for Snezhnaya
Snezhnaya is coming. You have limited resin, limited primos, and approximately one brain cell allocated to roster decisions. This guide exists to make that cell work less. Every character here is ranked on 4-star character investment value: not their peak ceiling in a spreadsheet nobody asked for, but actual return on your time and mora entering the new region.
Rankings assume a character’s best realistic potential: usually C6, sometimes C2, occasionally C0 where it’s honest. Meta context is included because a kit evaluated in a vacuum is fiction. The team matters. If your DPS doesn’t have a viable meta team in 2026, their support falls with them: no matter how elegant the numbers look.
Methodology Six tiers: D, C, B, A, S, SS. Characters evaluated on kit quality, current team availability, constellation dependency, and endgame (Spiral Abyss, Imaginarium Theater, Stygian Onslaught) relevance. Disagreements welcome. Escalation not.

SS Tier: Just Build These
Sucrose
The best free-to-play Anemo support in the game, and nobody is close. Viridescent Venerer, 4-piece, EM-stacked, Level 90. Talents don’t matter unless you’re running her as a driver. She shares EM to the whole team, swirls everything, and fits Furina’s best team, Nefer’s best team, Mulani’s best team, and Varka’s best team. Hoyo has released Epha, Prune, and Mizuki trying to replace her. They haven’t. Constellations are irrelevant: C3 is fine, C0 is fine.
Bennett
The top 4-star Pyro support Genshin and still the top attack buffer in the game despite being years old. His buff scales with base ATK. Build Energy Recharge to 200%, stack a good base ATK weapon, and he compresses healing and buffing into one slot. Teams that need Pyro resonance and an ATK buffer genuinely want nobody else. Build him, keep him, do not question it.
Build Note: Bennett Noblesse Oblige 4-piece. Energy Recharge Sands. HP or ATK Goblet for healing output. Favonius Sword for ER. Level 90 mandatory: his buff scales off base ATK.
Chevreuse
Before her release, Overload was a dead reaction. After her release, Overload teams are legitimately meta. She reduces Pyro and Electro resistance, buffs both elements’ ATK from her HP, and heals on top of it. C0 already does everything important: resistance shred is in her passive. Chevreuse Overload team build priority: stack HP to 40,000, run Noblesse Oblige, pair with Fischl and a Pyro DPS.
- Best pairs: Fischl, Yoimiya, Xiangling, Raiden Shogun
- At C6: strong enough to slot into non-Overload teams for raw damage buff
- Weapon: Black Tassel (F2P) or Rightful Reward
S Tier: Worth Every Resin
Fischl
Consistent off-field electro damage, good energy generation, fits into Aggravate, Electro-charged, Overload, and miscellaneous teams where you need sustained Electro application without taking field time. Fischl best artifacts Genshin Impact: Golden Troupe 4-piece with ATK or EM Sands depending on team. She never falls out of relevance because she never needed a team: she was always the team.
Gaming (C6)
The strongest 4-star DPS in the game and it’s not debatable. At C6 with proper supports, he clears Spiral Abyss floors that embarrass fully-built 5-stars. His ceiling is real. His floor is the reason you shouldn’t build him at C0 if other options exist: but once you hit C6, he becomes your answer to every “do I have enough DPS” question.
Kuki Shinobu
Second-best Hyperbloom trigger after Raiden Shogun, and unlike Raiden, she’s a 4-star you pull from banners rather than win a lottery. She heals and triggers simultaneously, reducing the number of support slots your Hyperbloom team burns. She also fits Electrocharge teams. Kuki Shinobu Hyperbloom build 2026: 4-piece Flower of Paradise Lost, full EM, Level 90.
Prune (New)
Designed as Varka’s dedicated buffer, similar to Illuqe for Zubai. Unlike Illuqe, she functions without her intended partner. At C0 she delivers up to 50% DMG Bonus, runs Viridescent Venerer, and costs minimal field time. At C6 she’s elite. If you have her on your account, Level 90 immediately.
A Tier: Situationally Required
These characters don’t go into every team, but when they fit, they’re irreplaceable. Genshin Impact C6 4-star worth building is the right question for most of this tier: constellation dependency is real.
Razor (C6 Only)
At C0 he doesn’t exist meta-wise. At C6 with Hexerei buffs and modern artifact sets, he reaches 100,000 DPS in optimal setups. He’s been on one banner in two years, so if you have constellations, congratulations and please level him. The investment pays off for those fortunate enough to have it.
Layla
Best 4-star Cryo applicator in the game. Her Cryo application is fast enough to solo break Cryo-resistant bosses like the Skirk story boss. She shields, applies Cryo off-field, and at C2+ becomes comfortable as a budget Ganyu replacement in Melt compositions. Worth a Level 80 investment at minimum.
Ino (Hydro Enabler)
Her kit is bad. C6 patches it to “fine.” She is in A tier for exactly one reason: Luna team F2P Hydro option Genshin. You have one Columbina. Three Luna DPS teams (Nefer, Zubai, Flynn) all want Hydro. Ino is your second Hydro unit from that region. Her existence enables a second Luna team when Columbina is occupied. That utility alone justifies the constellation investment.
B, C, D: The Honest Section
B tier is for characters who work in specific teams and nowhere else. Level 70 minimum for Imaginarium Theater headcount. Imaginarium Theater 4-star roster depth matters: even a C tier unit at Level 70 earns their resin back if they let you access harder difficulty floors.
B Tier Notes
- Faruzan: Exceptional buffer kit, no meta Anemo DPS to receive it. Waiting for Hoyo to release a true NMO DPS.
- Diona: C6 gives +200 EM to the party. Decent Melt filler slot. Being buffed. Comfortable, regret-free Level 80.
- Noelle: Luna Crystallize DPS. Heals. Versatile enough to not bench entirely.
- Sethos: Valid C6 Electro DPS for Imaginary Theater if you need one. Not Clover. Functional.
C Tier: Have a Good Reason
Kachina for Cinder City geo teams. Kujou Sara when Chevreuse somehow isn’t available. Thoma in Vaporize compositions that lack better shields. These are “I leveled it for a reason and now I regret it slightly” characters. Genshin Impact skip or build 4-star decision: if you’re asking this about a C-tier unit and you don’t have the specific team listed above, bench them.
D Tier: Accept the Truth
Amber, Lisa, Barbara, Mika, Yun Jin, Dory, Lynette. Physical damage has been irrelevant since launch. Normal attack buffs were power-crept. The 2026 meta does not care about any of these. Level 70 minimums for Imaginarium Theater access is the only honest reason to touch them. Do not feel bad about this. The game moved on.
Yun Jin specifically She used to be viable for Yua teams. Those teams now have better options. The “but she’s fun” argument costs you clears. Your call.
Investment Priority List
If your account is unoptimized and Snezhnaya is approaching, this is your Genshin Impact account investment priority guide in order of urgency:
- Sucrose: Level 90, 4-piece VV, 800+ EM. Non-negotiable.
- Bennett: Level 90, 4-piece Noblesse, 200% ER. Also non-negotiable.
- Fischl: Level 90, Golden Troupe, Stringless or better bow.
- Xiangling: Level 90, 4-piece Crimson Witch or Emblem. She’s free. No excuses.
- Chevreuse: Level 90, 4-piece Noblesse, HP build. 40k HP target.
- Kuki Shinobu: Level 90, 4-piece Paradise Lost, full EM.
- Gaming (if C6): Level 90, Crimson Witch, CRIT stats.
- Layla (if Cryo team needed): Level 80+, Tenacity or 4-piece Blizzard.
Everything below this line gets leveled when you run out of the above, not before.
Is Sucrose worth building at C0?
Yes. 4-piece VV, EM stats, Level 90. Constellations improve her, they don’t make her.
Can Gaming 4-star clear Spiral Abyss without 5-stars?
At C6 with Bennett and Xiangling support, yes. It’s documented, not theory.
Is Chevreuse good at C0 or do I need C6?
C0 works fine. Resistance shred is in her passive. C6 adds damage buff outside Overload.
Should I level D-tier characters for Imaginarium Theater?
Level 70 only. Access higher floors. Stop there. Don’t talent them.
When does Faruzan become worth building?
When Hoyo releases a meta NMO DPS who doesn’t self-infuse. Not today.
