WoW 12.1.5 Labyrinths Guide: Kindo’jan Tiers, Loot and Vault

The WoW 12.1.5 Labyrinth is a nine-chamber mega-delve called the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan, parked in Eversong Woods and open from October 13. You run it solo or with up to four friends on Tier 1 to Tier 11, bank chests and Great Vault progress after every 3 chambers, unlock matching Delve tiers through achievements, and get one extra vault credit per week for killing Kindo’jan on Tier 8 or higher. Myth armor comes from a six-week questline, the mount comes from killing Kindo’jan alone on Tier 11, and the humiliation comes free.

This Labyrinth of Kindo’jan guide is built from the 12.1.5 PTR and Blizzard’s launch notes for Midnight Season 2. Anything marked PTR can still be retuned before or after launch, because Blizzard moves goalposts faster than you move out of fire.

What a Labyrinth Actually Is

A Labyrinth is a Delve that swallowed eight other Delves. Same companion, same tier logic, same solo-first design, but nine linked chambers, a final boss, progress that survives a logout and its own reward structure. Blizzard sells it as raid-scale content for people who would rather eat glass than join a raid group.

The short version: a Delve is a snack, Mythic+ is a sprint with a stopwatch, a raid is a group project with twenty people who hate you, and a Labyrinth is a long dungeon you can abandon halfway without anyone kicking you.

How to Unlock and Enter

The entrance sits in Eversong Woods at the Zeb’tela Ruins, around 63, 72 on the PTR map. Any level 90 character that already runs Delves can walk in. Your first step inside grants Knock Knock, the cheapest achievement of the patch. Extra unlock gates beyond level 90 were not final on the PTR, so check the entrance on launch day before you blame this page.

  1. Fly to the Zeb’tela Ruins in Eversong Woods and find the Labyrinth entrance.
  2. Pick your tier at the entrance interface before you zone in, because changing your mind later means walking back out.
  3. Talk to Kinduru inside to choose which chamber opens next (PTR).
  4. Clear chambers in sets of three to bank chests and Great Vault progress.
  5. Leave whenever you like, since the run saves and you resume where you stopped.

Chamber Structure and Stopping Halfway

A full run is nine chambers plus Kindo’jan. The PTR map lays them out in three rows with the Central Chamber as the hub, branching paths between rooms and internal flight paths so you are spared the walk of shame. One room is reachable only through a maze, which is exactly as relaxing as it sounds.

The nine chambers are Akil’zon’s Roost, Central Chamber, Chamber of Rites, Halazzi’s Lair, Jan’alai’s Refuge, Nalorakk’s Den, The Catacombs, The Cave Towers and The Reliquary. Four of them carry the names of the old Zul’Aman loa, and the loa have not grown friendlier since you last robbed them.

You can stop partway. Every third chamber is a checkpoint that pays out and counts for the vault, and Blizzard openly supports doing one wing per session. The only thing you lose by quitting early is the loot from the chambers you did not clear.

The Tier Ladder From Tier 1 to Tier 11

The Midnight Labyrinth tiers work like Delve tiers: higher tier, more enemy health, more enemy damage, better rewards. Completing 3 chambers on a tier unlocks the next one and also grants a tier achievement that unlocks a Delve tier for Midnight Season 2.

TierRecommended item level (PTR)AchievementUnlocks

Tier 9296Tier 9Delve Tier 9
Tier 10303Tier 10Delve Tier 10
Tier 11309Tier 11Delve Tier 11

The Labyrinth recommended item level climbs gently until it does not. The walls are easy to find, mostly with your face.

  • Tier 4 is the first wall, because the recommendation jumps from 200 to 259 and undergeared alts stop being funny there.
  • Tier 8 is the second wall, because it is the first tier where Kindo’jan pays Great Vault credit and therefore the first tier everyone actually cares about.
  • Tier 11 is the final wall, because 309 item level is only the entry fee and every solo reward lives there.
  • Tier 9 hands out Delve Tier 9 again on the PTR, the same unlock Tier 8 already gave you, so treat it as a participation trophy.

The Loot Track

Chests are the bread and butter. Heavy Trunks carry double the crests of their regular Delve versions, and Bountiful Coffers can drop soul fragments that combine three to one into a random Hero track 2/6 piece (PTR). Regular drops scale with the tier you push, same as Delves.

The real headline is Labyrinth Myth gear. The storyline The Labyrinth of Kindo’jan is a six-step quest chain that unlocks one step per week and ends with two Myth armor pieces of your choice. That makes this the first time Myth quality armor comes out of content built for a single player, which raiders will describe as the end of civilization.

The Myth questline is gated weekly. Six steps means six weeks minimum, so every week you skip after October 13 is a week you finish late, and no amount of crying in trade chat buys it back.

Labyrinth runs also feed Kindo’jan’s Labyrinth Journey, a renown-style progress track. Its full reward list was not published on the PTR, so expect more cosmetics than power.

How Labyrinth Progress Feeds Delves

Every tier achievement doubles as a Delve unlock. Clearing 3 chambers on Tier 10 unlocks Tier 10 Delves, and 3 chambers on Tier 11 unlocks Tier 11 Delves, which matters because Tier 11 Bountiful Delves drop Ascendant Venomstone. Collect 10 of them and, from the week of October 20, you can push a fully upgraded Season 2 weapon, trinket or necklace past its normal cap at the Catalyst in Silvermoon City.

  • Valeera Sanguinar keeps her level, curios and poisons from Season 2 Delves when she follows you into the Labyrinth.
  • Every set of 3 chambers counts as a Great Vault activity alongside your regular Delve runs.
  • Ancient Hash’ey Battle Arts permanently imbue your gloves, work inside any delve and cannot go on items above item level 334.
  • Tier achievements unlock Delve tiers, so a strong Labyrinth week saves you the whole Delve climb.

Kindo’jan, the Nemesis at the Bottom

Kindo’jan fills the Nemesis slot: the boss waiting behind all nine chambers. Kill him on Tier 8 or higher and you get Great Vault credit once per week per character, separate from the activity credit chambers already gave you. Kill him on lower tiers and you get the warm feeling of zero vault progress.

That Labyrinth Great Vault credit is why Tier 8 is the real starting line for geared characters. His first kill grants The First Hash’ey with the Loa-Blessed title, and his corpse can drop the Loa-Blessed Victory toy.

Solo, Groups and Valeera

Labyrinths take one to five players according to PTR writeups and scale like Delves. Every prestige reward, however, demands an empty party: the mount, the Fabled title and Lone Raider all require no other players with you. Bring friends for loot, go alone for bragging rights and therapy bills.

Valeera Sanguinar returns as your companion in damage, healer or tank role. Her Season 2 combat curios are Corrosive Bilespear, Essence Trap and Ouroboric Curse, her utility curios are Dundun’s Favor, Soul-Cracking Dreamcatcher and Venom Infusion, and only one of each can be equipped at a time.

Runs use lives like Delves. The Labyrinth of Kindo’jan: One-Champion Army asks you to clear all nine chambers and Kindo’jan on Tier 11 solo without losing a single life, and rewards the Lone Raider title for your suffering.

Rewards Only Labyrinths Give

The Loa-Blessed Wayfarer mount is the trophy everyone will chase. A Kindo’jan Tier 11 solo kill during Midnight Season 2 grants Let Me Solo Him: Kindo’jan and the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer. Do it before the first weekly reset after launch and Fabled Let Me Solo Him: Kindo’jan adds the Fabled Vanquisher of Kindo’jan title, which will never be obtainable again.

The Midnight Season 2 Labyrinth rewards that matter most are time-limited. The mount demands Season 2, the Fabled title demands launch week, and both laugh at players who planned to do it later.

Why Blizzard Built This

Delves gave solo players a weekly chore with a Hero track ceiling. Labyrinths add the missing raid layer: a long instance, a final boss, a launch-week race and Myth armor at the end. It extends Delves instead of replacing them, since the Tier 11 unlock still sends you back into Delves for Venomstones.

Kindo’jan is the first Promise of Tomorrow labyrinth, and Blizzard talks about Labyrinths in the plural, so this is a content type, not a one-off. For solo players the message is simple: you no longer need nineteen strangers to touch Myth gear, just six weeks of patience and a high tolerance for dying alone.

Where is the Labyrinth of Kindo’jan entrance?

In Eversong Woods near the Zeb’tela Ruins, around coordinates 63, 72 on the PTR map, open to level 90 characters.

Can I leave a Labyrinth run halfway?

Yes. Progress saves between sessions, and every three chambers pays out chests and Great Vault progress before you log off.

Which tier gives weekly Great Vault credit for Kindo’jan?

Tier 8 or higher. Killing Kindo’jan there grants Great Vault credit once per week per character, separate from chambers.

How do I get Myth armor from the Labyrinth?

Finish the six-step weekly questline The Labyrinth of Kindo’jan, which rewards two Myth armor pieces of your choice.

How do I get the Loa-Blessed Wayfarer?

Defeat Kindo’jan on Tier 11 with no other players in your party during Midnight Season 2. Valeera does not count.
