WoW Forever Argent Dawn Reputation Guide

Short version of this WoW Forever Argent Dawn reputation guide: Neutral to Exalted is 42,000 reputation, and the only route that respects your time is to grind non-elite undead in the Plaguelands to Friendly, farm bosses in Scholomance and Stratholme, and hoard every Scourgestone, cauldron reagent and Plaguelands quest until Revered before handing a single one of them in. Turn things in early and you burn rep that mobs would have given you for free.

Standing matters for what it opens, not for the warm feeling. Honored opens the Naxxramas attunement, Revered unlocks the single resistance shoulder enchants, Exalted unlocks the chromatic enchant and the frost resistance patterns. Blizzard has published no faction specific numbers for World of Warcraft Forever, so everything below is the Classic baseline the Forever team inherited. Treat it as the working route until the Forever client says otherwise.

How to unlock the faction and where the quartermasters stand

There is no unlock quest and no introduction chain. You start Neutral, you walk into the plague, you get shot at. At level 50 take Argent Dawn Commission at any Argent Dawn hub and equip the Argent Dawn Commission trinket, which applies Argent Dawn Commission and makes undead drop Scourgestones. Since the WoW Forever release date of November 4, 2026, the cap has stayed at 60, so this grind never expires into irrelevance the way it did in every expansion that followed Classic.

All three quartermasters share the same recipe and enchant stock, so use whichever one is closest. Light’s Hope is the exception that matters: it is neutral ground, it holds the attunement quest giver Archmage Angela Dosantos, and Miranda Breechlock is the only vendor who handles the insignia turn-ins. Opposite faction players can use the enemy camp, but nobody there will apologise for what the guards do.

The two cutoffs that decide your week: normal undead in both Plaguelands stop paying at 3,000/6,000 into Friendly, and elites plus Scholomance and Stratholme trash stop at 11,999/12,000 into Honored. Bosses in those two dungeons pay all the way to Exalted. This is the part of the WoW Forever Classic Plus experience that has not been modernised, because the design pillar is the journey, and the journey here is 42,000 points of skeleton.

Fastest route to Exalted

1. Hit level 50 and collect the Commission trinket before you kill a single ghoul, because unflagged kills drop nothing.
2. Grind normal undead around Felstone Field, Dalson’s Tears and the Writhing Haunt until you are 3,000/6,000 into Friendly.
3. Switch to Plaguelands elites and dungeon trash until you are 11,999/12,000 into Honored.
4. Run Stratholme and Scholomance on repeat, since bosses are the only kill source that pays past Honored.
5. Finish the cauldron chain early but bank the repeatable turn-ins instead of spending them.
6. Leave every Plaguelands quest sitting in your log, complete but unturned, until Revered.
7. At Revered, dump the entire pile in one session: quests, Scourgestones, cauldron mats, dragon scales.
8. Spend 10 tokens on the mantle unlock at Revered and 25 more on the chromatic unlock at Exalted.

Pair this with any decent WoW Forever leveling guide and you arrive in the Plaguelands already carrying half the reputation you need, because most of the zone quests award Argent Dawn standing anyway. The players who suffer are the ones who level here first and then come back at 60 wondering where the quest rep went.

Each Scourgestone turn-in is worth 25 reputation plus one Argent Dawn Valor Token, and each token is another 25 on use. Save 35 tokens total before you start spending them. The Terrorweb Tunnel in the Eastern Plaguelands is the densest open world stone farm and doubles as a Crypt Fiend Parts route, which is the closest thing this faction has to efficiency.

Nothing in this grind is retroactive. Reputation you hand in below Revered is reputation you would have collected anyway from mobs that were still paying. Every stone, scale, reagent and completed quest sitting in your bags is a savings account, and the Argent Dawn does not pay interest on early withdrawals.

Cauldron quests in the Western Plaguelands

Finish The Scourge Cauldrons for Alliance or The Scourge Cauldrons for Horde, then take a Vitreous Focuser from Alchemist Arbington or Apothecary Dithers. Each cauldron turn-in is 25 reputation and repeats forever.

Gahrron’s Withering has the best reagent drop rate of the four, so that is where you camp if you only pick one. Buy the quickeners immediately before a turn-in run, never in bulk, because they decay after 30 minutes and the vendor will not feel guilty about it.

Insignias and the Armaments of Battle

The insignia layer is the Naxxramas era content bolted onto the faction, and it is where the epics live. Drop turn-ins award an Insignia of the Dawn or an Insignia of the Crusade, 200 reputation on the first hand-in and 10 on every one after that. Tradeskill writs from Dispatch Commander Metz pay 50 reputation and an insignia of your choice.

Buying an epic at Friendly costs four times what it costs at Exalted, which is the game politely telling you to wait. The Exalted version is repeatable, so once you are there the whole cache is farmable.

The mantles are unlocked by quest, not by vendor level. Hand 10 tokens to Mantles of the Dawn at Revered for Flame, Frost, Arcane, Nature and Shadow, then 25 tokens to Chromatic Mantle of the Dawn at Exalted. Forget this and the vendor list stays stubbornly empty while you blame the patch notes.

Because the WoW Forever level cap stays at 60 and progression moves sideways instead of upward, these rewards do not rot the way expansion gear does. A resistance enchant bought in December is still a resistance enchant two content waves later, which is the entire argument for grinding this faction the moment you can.

What the Argent Dawn actually gates

• Naxxramas attunement starts at Honored through The Dread Citadel, costing 5x Arcane Crystal, 2x Nexus Crystal and 1x Righteous Orb.
• The Revered version cuts that to 2 arcane and 1 nexus crystal, and the Exalted version is free.
• Shoulder enchants are locked behind the two mantle quests, not behind the vendor.
• Frost resistance crafting for cloth, leather, mail and plate sits at Exalted for the chest pieces.
• Profession recipes for blacksmithing, tailoring, leatherworking, enchanting, alchemy and first aid unlock across Honored and Revered.
• There is no mount, no tabard and no title here, so stop waiting for one.

How this maps onto the WoW Forever raids is the open question. The first Forever raids land on December 9, 2026, and Blizzard has not said whether the old Naxxramas attunement chain, or anything like it, is wired to Argent Dawn standing in this timeline. Exalted is the safe hedge, since no version of this faction has ever punished you for being Exalted.

Lore, briefly

After Alexandros Mograine died, the Order of the Silver Hand split. The zealots became the Scarlet Crusade under Grand Crusader Saidan Dathrohan. The pragmatists, led by Lord Maxwell Tyrosus, founded the Argent Dawn and started recruiting anyone willing to kill undead, including the Forsaken. That is why a Horde player can stand inside Light’s Hope without being set on fire.

Argent Officer Pureheart puts it plainly: the order is not a political body and calls both Alliance and Horde friends in the cause of stamping out evil. In practice this means both factions are equally welcome to spend four hundred hours collecting bone chips for a man who will not remember their name.

Nuances that cost other people days

• Dying can strip the Commission buff, so re-check it after every wipe.
• The Commission occupies a trinket slot the whole time you farm, which is the real cost of Scourgestones.
• Complete The Active Agent in Stratholme to upgrade the trinket into Seal of the Dawn or Rune of the Dawn, both of which still collect stones.
• Healthy Dragon Scales from Scholomance hatchlings are a repeatable 50 reputation turn-in and do not stack, so carry the bag space.
• Corruptor’s Scourgestones are the only stone worth banking one at a time, since a single one completes a turn-in.
• Classic reports have live side Stratholme bosses paying inconsistently past Revered, so verify before committing a night to it.
• Quest rep is the scarcest resource in the zone, which is why the log stays full until Revered.

One planning note worth taking seriously: the WoW Forever new zones compete directly with this grind for your evenings, and Mount Hyjal is the endgame leveling zone everyone will be in during week one. The Plaguelands will be empty, which is either a problem for your dungeon groups or the best farming conditions you will ever get.

The WoW Forever beta ran from September 17 and capped at level 30, so nobody has tested a single Scourgestone in the Forever client. Every number in this guide came out of the Classic build. The WoW Forever roadmap promises new factions and account wide bonuses through 2027, and if the Argent Dawn gets retuned, it gets retuned after everyone has already ground it out.
