WoW Forever Darkmoon Faire Reputation Guide: Tickets, Decks and BiS

WoW Forever Darkmoon Faire reputation is the most generous grind in Azeroth that pays you in almost nothing. Item turn-ins give 100 reputation each and stop at 5999/6000 Friendly. After that only completed Darkmoon decks move the bar, at 150 reputation apiece, which leaves roughly 220 decks between you and Exalted. Exalted buys a vendor discount. The gear that matters costs tickets, not standing: 1200 Darkmoon Faire Prize Tickets for the Amulet of the Darkmoon or the Orb of the Darkmoon, and four decks for the only trinkets here worth the suffering.

This World of Warcraft Forever Darkmoon Faire guide runs on the original 2004 Faire rules, the same ruleset Classic Anniversary realms use today, because Forever is built on that Azeroth. Launch is November 4, 2026. The beta runs September 17 to October 21 with a level 30 cap, which means beta testers can reach Tier 4 turn-ins and nothing that actually pays.

How to Unlock the Darkmoon Faire Faction

There is nothing to unlock. Every character starts at 0/3000 Neutral with the Darkmoon Faire, the faction cannot be lowered, and it appears in your reputation tab after the first turn-in. The Faire arrives on Friday, spends the weekend building tents, opens on Monday and leaves the following Sunday. During setup nobody sells, trades or talks.

The Darkmoon Faire location in WoW Forever rotates monthly between Elwynn Forest, south of Goldshire around /way 42 70, and Mulgore, southwest of Thunder Bluff around /way 37 38. Both camps are neutral, but Goldshire guards still aggro on Horde visitors who wander to the northern edge.

There is no classic quartermaster. Gelvas Grimegate redeems tickets, four craftsmen take turn-ins, and Professor Thaddeus Paleo takes decks. Barkers Melnan Darkstone in Ironforge and Kruban Darkblade in Orgrimmar announce each visit and hand out one-time vouchers, The Darkmoon Faire for Alliance and The Darkmoon Faire for Horde, worth five free tickets and a small reputation bump.

When the Faire Shows Up and How to Get There

The WoW Forever Faire schedule has not been published as a separate calendar. If Forever inherits the Era rotation, the first visit after launch lands in Elwynn Forest from November 9 to 15, 2026, followed by Mulgore from December 7 to 13. Trust the in-game calendar over any website, this one included.

  • Horde players reach Elwynn by taking the zeppelin to Grom’gol, running north through Duskwood and swinging west around the small Alliance guard camp.
  • Alliance players reach Mulgore by boat from Menethil Harbor to Theramore, then through Dustwallow Marsh and the Barrens while skirting Camp Taurajo.
  • Low-level Alliance characters can take the longer Booty Bay to Ratchet boat route and avoid Dustwallow entirely.

Fastest Route to Exalted

Nobody gets exalted with Darkmoon Faire in Forever by accident, and nobody sane does it on purpose. Every item turn-in pays 100 reputation regardless of tier, while lower tiers switch off as standing rises. Use the cheapest accepted item in each tier, then Tier 5 until the cap, then decks until you question your life.

  1. Complete the herald voucher first, since it costs nothing and gives five tickets.
  2. Spend cheap Tier 1 and Tier 2 items early, because those quests disappear at 500 and 1100 Neutral.
  3. Push Tier 3 and Tier 4 turn-ins until they close at 1700 and 2500 Neutral.
  4. Grind Tier 5 turn-ins such as Glowing Scorpid Blood until 5999/6000 Friendly, which takes roughly 65 more hand-ins.
  5. Hand completed decks to Professor Thaddeus Paleo, because nothing else moves the bar past Friendly.

Exalted sits 42,000 reputation above Neutral. Turn-ins cover about 9,000 of it in roughly 90 hand-ins. The other 33,000 require about 220 decks at 150 each, or about 200 for humans thanks to Diplomacy. Every deck is eight cards, and one of them drops only from a dungeon boss.

Turn-in Items and Where to Farm Them

No profession is required to hand anything in. Buy crafted items, bully a guildmate into making them, or farm animal parts yourself.

Tickets and reputation are separate economies. Once you pass the Friendly cap, Tier 5 quests swap to More Glowing Scorpid Blood, More Thorium Widgets, More Armor Kits and similar versions that still pay 20 tickets and zero reputation.

Tickets are soulbound, stack to 200 and carry over between visits. Forever reworks itemization, so every stat line in this guide is the Era baseline until the live Forever database proves otherwise.

Tickets: What 1200 Actually Costs

WoW Forever Darkmoon tickets are the only Faire currency worth hoarding, and 1200 of them equal 60 Tier 5 turn-ins. Gelvas Grimegate checks your level and your ticket stack, never your standing.

BiS Rewards and Which Class Wants Them

The real WoW Forever BiS trinkets come from Professor Thaddeus Paleo, not from the ticket booth. Cards and decks trade freely, but every reward below binds on pickup and requires level 60.

Darkmoon Decks and Ace Drops

WoW Forever Darkmoon cards come in four suits of eight, Ace through Eight. Cards Two to Eight drop from humanoid and undead mobs level 45 and up, while each Ace drops from specific bosses. Combining the eight creates the deck and starts a turn-in quest such as Darkmoon Beast Deck, which works only while the Faire is open.

  • Ace of Beasts drops from The Beast in Upper Blackrock Spire.
  • Ace of Portals drops from Darkmaster Gandling in Scholomance.
  • Ace of Warlords drops from King Gordok in Dire Maul.
  • Ace of Elementals drops from Lord Incendius in Blackrock Depths and from elemental world bosses such as Baron Charr.

What Darkmoon Faire Reputation Gates

Nothing. The full list of things it does not unlock is longer than the list of things it does.

  • No attunement checks Darkmoon Faire standing.
  • No recipe, pattern or schematic is locked behind it.
  • No mount is sold for it.
  • No raid or dungeon door cares about it.
  • Every prize, deck trinket and buff is available at Neutral.

Sayge’s Fortune Buff

The Sayge buff WoW Forever raiders actually care about is the 10% damage one, and it is the best reason to visit the Faire at 60. Pick the first answer to both of Sayge‘s questions and receive Sayge’s Dark Fortune of Damage for two hours. A new fortune needs four hours of logged-in time, and the buff drops on death.

Pets and Side Attractions

  • Flik runs around the grounds selling Tree Frog and Wood Frog boxes for one gold each.
  • Morja gives the Jubling egg if you place two Dark Iron Ale Mugs for her frog, and the egg hatches seven days later.
  • The Tonk Control Consoles let you fight other players in miniature steam tanks.
  • The Blastenheimer 5000 Ultra Cannon fires you across the field for no reward except the landing.

Lore

Silas Darkmoon founded the Faire as a traveling showcase of the strange and the exotic, and his staff is a deliberately mismatched crew. A gnoll reads fortunes, a Forsaken named Chronos never forgets a face, a sand troll collects gears, a goblin runs the ticket booth and an ogre called Burth keeps the peace. The Faire takes no side in the war, which is why both factions share one field.

Forever is set in the first year of World of Warcraft, after Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core, in a continuity Blizzard calls a time bubble. That makes this Classic Plus Darkmoon Faire the original tent camp in Goldshire and Mulgore, not the island resort retail moved to in patch 4.3.0. Sayge himself is a nod to the fortune teller from Ultima, whose moral questions decided your starting stats, and Hearthstone later tied the whole carnival to the Old Gods, which explains nothing and worries everyone.

Is Darkmoon Faire reputation worth grinding at all?

Not for rewards. Exalted only adds a 20% vendor discount, while tickets and decks provide the gear anyone actually equips.

Where does the Darkmoon Faire set up?

It alternates monthly between Elwynn Forest south of Goldshire at 42 70 and Mulgore near Thunder Bluff at 37 38.

How many tickets do the Darkmoon necklaces cost?

The Amulet and the Orb of the Darkmoon cost 1200 tickets each, which equals 60 Tier 5 turn-ins.

How do you gain reputation past Friendly?

Only by turning in completed Darkmoon decks at Professor Thaddeus Paleo for 150 reputation each, since item turn-ins stop.

Which Sayge answers give the damage buff?

Pick the first answer on both questions for Sayge’s Dark Fortune of Damage, a 10% damage buff lasting two hours.
