WoW Forever Felwood Leveling Guide: Route, Quests, Rares

Felwood leveling in WoW Forever runs from level 48 to 55: arrive at 49, leave at 54 or 55 through the Timbermaw tunnel into Winterspring. Horde fly into Bloodvenom Post (34.4, 54.0), Alliance into Talonbranch Glade (62.5, 24.2), and both factions earn most of the XP at the neutral Emerald Sanctuary (51.2, 82.1). Do the Timbermaw intro, the Jaedenar chain and Cleansing Felwood, then leave before the zone starts charging rent in corpse runs.

Blizzard has not published a single Felwood change for Forever, and the beta stops at level 30, so nobody has seen the Forever version yet. This WoW Forever Felwood guide is built on the original quest data that Forever uses as its foundation. There is no flying and no level scaling, so a 48-55 zone stays a 48-55 zone, and old chains, old hubs and old skips still win.

How to get to Felwood and flight paths

Most players walk in from Ashenvale: take the northern road fork and you arrive right at the Emerald Sanctuary. The north end connects to Winterspring and Moonglade through the Timbermaw Hold tunnels, which is an exit, not an entrance, until the furbolgs stop hating you.

Grab the WoW Forever flight paths on the way in, not on the way out. Horde should ride north to Bloodvenom Post before the first quest run, because Dreka’Sur holds the quest for a boss standing a short walk south of the Emerald Sanctuary. There is no inn anywhere, so bind in Everlook if you plan to follow the route into Winterspring.

When to come, when to leave, where to go next

Come at 49 after Tanaris, Feralas or Azshara. Earlier than that and the Jadefire satyrs turn you into fertilizer. Stay until 54 or 55, then leave before XP per kill drops and Shadow Hold starts eating your repair money.

The WoW Forever leveling guide logic stays simple: Felwood pairs with Un’Goro Crater at 48-55, then sends you to Winterspring (55-60), Western Plaguelands (51-58), Eastern Plaguelands (53-60) or Burning Steppes (50-59). At 60, the Forever-only endgame waits in Mount Hyjal, reached through Darkwhisper Gorge in southern Winterspring, which is one more reason to leave Felwood through the Timbermaw tunnel.

Breadcrumbs that matter:

• A Strange One sends Horde from Winterspring to Winna Hazzard and opens Well of Corruption.
• Speak to Nafien moves you from Grazle to the northern furbolg camp after Timbermaw Ally.
• Speak to Salfa walks you through Timbermaw Hold into Winterspring and is your cleanest exit.
• To Winterspring! is the Alliance exit breadcrumb from Ivy Leafrunner and requires level 53.
• Seeking Spiritual Aid sends you to Islen Waterseer in the Barrens (65.8, 43.8) and unlocks the Shadow Hold finale.
• Linken’s Memory from Un’Goro ends at Eridan Bluewind and continues with Silver Heart and Aquementas.
• Words of the High Chief ends at Kelek Skykeeper here, so Winterspring will send you back once.

Optimal quest order

These are the WoW Forever Felwood quests in the order that wastes the least time, which is the whole point of Felwood leveling. The route is shared, faction-only steps are marked, and nothing below needs a group except where the table after it says so.

• At the Emerald Sanctuary pick up Forces of Jaedenar, Verifying the Corruption and Timbermaw Ally, plus Cleansing Felwood for Alliance or Cleansing Felwood for Horde.
• Alliance also takes The Corruption of the Jadefire from Eridan Bluewind and turns in the Linken chain if carried from Un’Goro.
• Clear Deadwood Warriors, Pathfinders and Gardeners at Deadwood Village (48, 90) and turn in Timbermaw Ally for Speak to Nafien.
• Horde with A Husband’s Last Battle kills Overlord Ror at 48.2, 94.3 while standing in the same village.
• Alliance kills Jadefire Felsworns (40, 83), then Shadowstalkers, Rogues and Xavathras in Jadefire Glen (32.2, 67.1).
• Horde fills the flask for Well of Corruption at the Jadefire Glen moonwell (32.4, 66.5), then escorts the kitten there for Corrupted Sabers.
• In Jaedenar (37, 60) finish Forces of Jaedenar, take Collection of the Corrupt Water and fill the canteen at the moon well (35.2, 59.8).
• Loot the Blood Red Key from Jaedenar casters, start A Strange Red Key and escort Captured Arko’narin out of Shadow Hold for Rescue From Jaedenar.
• Kill 2 Entropic Beasts and 2 Entropic Horrors in Shatter Scar Vale (42.5, 40.4) for Verifying the Corruption and do not pull the Infernal elites.
• Farm 15 Blood Amber from Warpwood Moss Flayers and Shredders in Irontree Woods (57, 18) for Cleansing Felwood.
• Alliance takes Further Corruption and kills Hellcallers, Tricksters, Betrayers and Xavaric (39.1, 22.4) at the Ruins of Constellas.
• Alliance uses the Flute of Xavaric drop for Flute of Xavaric, then runs Felbound Ancients, Purified! and the Ancient Spirit escort.
• Kill Rakaiah (38.3, 50.5) for Retribution of the Light and return The Remains of Trey Lightforge to Jessir Moonbow.
• Deliver the water through Seeking Spiritual Aid, bring back Cleansed Water Returns to Felwood and douse four braziers in Shadow Hold for Dousing the Flames of Protection.
• Finish with A Final Blow: Moora, Salia and Shadow Lord Fel’dan wait together at 38.8, 46.8.
• Go north to Nafien (64.8, 8.1), complete Deadwood of the North and hand any Deadwood Ritual Totem drop to Kernda inside the Hold for the Deadwood Ritual Totem quest.
• Leave through Timbermaw Hold with Speak to Salfa and start Winterspring.

Skip Seeking Spiritual Aid only if you are Alliance and hate flying more than you like Gearforge Girdle. Horde flies from Bloodvenom Post straight to the Crossroads, so Horde has no excuse.

Timbermaw Hold reputation starts at Hostile. Killing a Timbermaw furbolg, even in self defense, lowers it further, and the questgivers inside will not talk to you below Neutral. Every Deadwood furbolg you kill in Felwood counts toward that standing, so finish Timbermaw Ally and farm Deadwood before you try walking through the tunnel.

Timbermaw Hold reputation in Felwood

WoW Forever Timbermaw reputation is the one grind in Felwood leveling that pays for itself: tunnel access, Honored recipes and later the epic Defender of the Timbermaw. Deadwood furbolg kills give reputation until Revered, and Deadwood Headdress Feather turn-ins keep going after that.

Feathers drop at 35 percent from the northern Deadwood and 25 percent from the southern ones, so the northern camp near Chieftain Bloodmaw (62.8, 7.7) is the better farm once you are 53.

Cleansing Felwood and the Songflower buff

Turning in 15 Blood Amber unlocks the repeatable salve quests. Each salve cleanses one corrupted plant, and the WoW Forever Songflower Serenade buff gives 5 percent crit and 15 to all stats for one hour. It works at level 50 and above, which makes it the best free leveling buff in Kalimdor.

For gold, Irontree Woods (57, 18) is the safest farm: Blood Amber, Heart of the Wild and cleansing salves in one loop. Jaedenar and Shadow Hold pay more in Felcloth and runes, and also more in deaths.

The WoW Forever rare spawns in Felwood are mostly XP pinatas with lottery tickets. Two are rare elites, and on a future Hardcore realm they are the reason you do not skip the elite warning.

• Warlocks start the imp line with An Imp’s Request, then Hot and Itchy, The Wrong Stuff and Trolls of a Feather at Impsy (41.4, 45.0).
• Warlocks continue with What Niby Commands, Flawless Fel Essence and Kroshius’ Infernal Core, where Kroshius waits at 45.7, 34.8.
• Warlocks at 60 return to Lord Banehollow (35.9, 44.4) for Ulathek the Traitor and Xorothian Stardust.
• Druids get Torwa Pathfinder from Golhine the Hooded in Talonbranch Glade, which points to Un’Goro.
• Priests finish Blood of Morphaz at Greta Mosshoof in the Emerald Sanctuary.

Felwood lore in the Forever timeline

World of Warcraft Forever Felwood sits in the first year after the Third War, which makes the zone exactly what the Burning Legion left behind. The dreadlord Tichondrius used the Skull of Gul’dan to corrupt this forest while Archimonde marched on Mount Hyjal, and the land never recovered.

Jaedenar and Shadow Hold now belong to the Shadow Council. The Deadwood furbolgs went mad, the Jadefire satyrs moved into the glens, and the Timbermaw Hold tribe survived by hiding underground. Hyjal next door gets a recovery story in Forever. Felwood gets you.

Faction notes

WoW Forever Horde leveling here is the more compact version: Well of Corruption, Corrupted Sabers and A Husband’s Last Battle sit on the main route, and Bloodvenom Post flies straight to the Crossroads for the Barrens detour. Alliance trades that convenience for the longer Jadefire chain from Eridan Bluewind, which pays in XP, Breezecloud Bracers and the Ancient Spirit reward.

For anyone mapping Classic Plus leveling zones in advance, Felwood is the last Kalimdor stop before 55. It has no dungeon to break up the grind, so bring food, bandages and patience, in that order.
