WoW Forever First Aid Guide 1-300: Route, Mats, Triage

Short version of this wow forever first aid guide: learn it the hour you can, burn roughly 180 Linen, 240 Wool, 160 Silk, 120 Mageweave and 100 Runecloth, buy three books in the middle, do Triage at skill 225 and character level 35, and finish on Heavy Runecloth Bandage. Total cost if you loot while questing: zero gold and some dignity.

The part that actually matters in world of warcraft forever first aid is that the skill is no longer a gauze dispenser. It now crafts curatives that strip bleeds, diseases and poisons, it crafts healing potions, and it crafts a camp object that hands your whole campfire a Stamina buff. It is still a secondary skill, it still caps at 300, and it still costs you nothing but cloth.

What Forever Actually Changed

Everything in the wow forever professions system runs to 300 skill, two primaries and three secondaries per character, and every profession now gets three campsite objects. First Aid returns in its 1.12 shape with the Triage capstone intact, then gets bolted onto the new systems. Bandage healing was raised to match the fatter health pools, so the old numbers below are floors, not ceilings.

ChangeWhat it means for you
Stronger bandagesHealing scaled up for bigger health pools. Same recipes, better throughput.
CurativesWoolen Tourniquet for bleeds, Simple Poultice for disease, Anti-Venom for poison.
Healing potionsCraftable through First Aid. Whether Alchemy keeps them too is still unconfirmed.
First Aid KitCamp object, one hour Stamina buff, does not stack with Power Word: Fortitude.
Quest demandFirst Aid materials are used as quest objectives, so bandages sell to non-crafters.
Campsite blueprintsFirst object at skill 20, advanced blueprints drop from specific dungeon bosses.

Trainers and Coordinates, Apprentice to Artisan

Every one of the wow forever first aid trainers below teaches Apprentice and Journeyman only. Expert comes from a book, Artisan comes from a quest, and no amount of standing next to a nurse will change that. Coordinates are the Classic ones, which Forever keeps for the old world.

Artisan training after Triage comes from Doctor Gustaf VanHowzen in Theramore, Dustwallow Marsh at 67.6 48.8, or Doctor Gregory Victor in Hammerfall, Arathi Highlands at 73.4 36.8. Neither shows a trainer gossip icon, so walk up and talk to them anyway.

Books, Manuals and Where They Drop

Three of the wow forever first aid recipes are not trainable at all. They sit on two vendors in two zones nobody visits at the right level, which is the entire joke of this profession.

None of the books are bind on pickup. Buy all three in one trip, mail the spares to alts, or sell them to the people who did not read this section.

The Full 1-300 Route

This is the cheapest path for wow forever first aid leveling 1-300. Every step uses the lowest cloth tier that still gives skill, because Runecloth has better uses than making you feel efficient.

  1. Train Apprentice First Aid at any trainer listed above.
  2. Learn Heavy Linen Bandage at skill 40 and keep going on Linen.
  3. Train Journeyman First Aid anywhere between skill 50 and 75.
  4. Learn Wool Bandage and Anti-Venom at skill 80.
  5. Learn Heavy Wool Bandage at skill 115 and grind to 150.
  6. Read the Expert book at skill 125 so the wall never happens.
  7. Train Silk Bandage at 150, then read the manual for Heavy Silk Bandage at 180.
  8. Read the second manual for Mageweave Bandage at 210 and push to 225.
  9. Complete Triage at character level 35 for Artisan First Aid.
  10. Return to the doctor at 240, 260 and 290 for Heavy Mageweave Bandage, Runecloth Bandage and Heavy Runecloth Bandage.

Sitting on a pile of Mageweave instead? Heavy Mageweave Bandage stays yellow long enough to carry you to 300 by itself. It is slower and it wastes cloth, and it is still better than flying to the auction house twice.

Materials List and Farm Routes

Budget 180 Linen, 240 Wool, 160 Silk, 120 Mageweave and 100 Runecloth for a clean run, and add roughly twenty percent for bad luck in yellow ranges. Cloth for wow forever bandages drops from humanoids only, so every farm below is a humanoid pull with a respawn timer you can loop.

ClothBest farmWhy
Linen ClothDefias and kobold camps in the 10 to 18 zonesDense spawns, fast respawn, you are already questing there.
Wool ClothShadowfang Keep trash and Hillsbrad Foothills farmsIndoor packs drop Wool at a much higher rate than open world.
Silk ClothScarlet Monastery Armory and CathedralHumanoid only wings, short resets, the classic Silk faucet.
Mageweave ClothSandfury trolls and Tanaris pirate campsLevel 44 to 50 humanoids with stacked pulls and no casters to chase.
RuneclothTyr’s Hand in Eastern Plaguelands, Dire Maul North, StratholmeHighest Runecloth per hour in the game, plus vendor trash and greens.
Venom sacsSpiders and scorpids, Silithus for the big onesSmall Venom Sac early, Huge Venom Sac at 60.

Tailors find extra cloth from humanoids in Forever, which means your farm route is their farm route. Run the loop, keep the low tiers, and do not vendor a single stack of Wool before skill 150.

Triage, the Artisan Wall

The wow forever triage quest is the only hard gate in the profession. You need skill 225 and character level 35, and the breadcrumb comes from Alliance Trauma in Ironforge or Horde Trauma in Orgrimmar. The real quest is Triage in Theramore or Triage in Hammerfall.

You must save 15 patients and lose no more than five. Only the supplied Triage Bandage works. Six soldiers lie on rugs, a new one spawns whenever you save one, and each of them is dying at a different speed.

Heal Critically Injured first, Badly Injured second, Injured last, and newest spawn after that. Ignore that order and you will fail at patient thirteen, every single time, while the doctor watches.

The quest can be repeated until it works, and grouping with another candidate splits the patient load. Some anniversary builds pushed the level requirement higher than 35, so check the doctor before you fly across a continent.

Specializations and How to Choose One

First Aid has no specialization branch. It never did, and Forever did not add one. What it added instead is three campsite objects per profession, learned at different skill levels, and that is the only real choice you make.

  • The first campsite object unlocks at skill 20 from a camping NPC or a profession trainer.
  • The two advanced objects come from blueprints that drop from specific dungeon bosses.
  • Each player may place one object per campfire on a one hour cooldown.
  • A basic campfire holds three objects, and Cooking upgrades raise that to five or ten.

Curatives, Anti-Venom and the Camp Kit

The wow forever first aid kit is crafted from Linen Bandages and Refreshing Spring Water, and it grants a Stamina buff to everyone at the campfire for one hour. It does not stack with Power Word: Fortitude, so coordinate with your priest instead of arguing with him.

Anti-VenomPoison up to level 25Trained at skill 80, made from a Small Venom Sac.

BiS Crafts and Who Actually Wants Them

Bandages restore health over eight seconds, break on any damage taken, and leave a 60 second Recently Bandaged debuff. Classic healing floors were 66, 114, 161, 301, 400, 640, 800, 1104, 1360 and 2000 respectively, and Forever raised them. Heavy Runecloth Bandage needs 290 skill to craft but only 225 to use, which is why twinks care.

  • Warriors and Rogues get the most value because neither has a real self heal.
  • Hunters and Warlocks bandage their pets, which saves a full resummon and a food break.
  • Healers bandage themselves between pulls to keep mana for the fight that matters.
  • Every raider carries Powerful Anti-Venom on poison encounters, no exceptions accepted.
  • Level 19 twinks hold 225 First Aid and use bandages built by somebody else.

Gold Making, Margins and Class Pairings

Nobody gets rich on gauze, but wow forever gold making with First Aid works because the input is free. Cloth drops while you do something else, the craft has no cooldown, and Forever added quest objectives that consume First Aid materials, so demand now comes from players who never learned the skill.

First Aid KitsLinen and water into a one hour raid buffCamping groups without a First Aid crafter.
CurativesUnknown at launch, likely thin but constantAnyone eating bleeds, disease or poison repeatedly.

Pair it with Tailoring for the extra cloth drops and a single farm route that feeds both. Skinning and Mining pair fine too, since they never compete for a loot slot. The only bad pairing is the one where you sell every scrap of cloth at level 30 and buy it back at level 45.

Mistakes That Cost You Cloth

  • Buying only the Expert book and leaving both manuals on the vendor.
  • Hitting skill 225 at character level 30 and then waiting five levels to progress.
  • Crafting heavy bandages while the light version is still orange.
  • Bandaging in melee range and losing the whole channel to one autoattack.
  • Assuming the Recently Bandaged debuff is shared with potions, which it is not.
  • Skipping the skill 20 campsite object and wondering why your camp has no buff.

Forever launches on November 4 2026 with beta access from September 17, and the level cap stays at 60 permanently. Your bandages will still be relevant in a year, which is more than most professions can promise.
