WoW Forever Mulgore Leveling Guide: Route, Quests, Rares

The WoW Forever Mulgore guide in one breath. Tauren start at Camp Narache, reach Bloodhoof Village at level 6, finish the wells and the Rites of the Earthmother by 10, and leave Mulgore at 11 or 12 down the eastern road to Camp Taurajo and the Crossroads. The old chains still carry the run, and the new Forever side quests are garnish you eat only if it sits on your plate.

World of Warcraft: Forever launches on November 4, 2026, and the WoW Forever beta runs from September 17 to October 21. Hands-on reports from BlizzCon show Mulgore weaving small new quests between the old ones. The route below is the skeleton. Forever adds meat, and meat does not move bones.

What Forever changes in Mulgore

Blizzard pitches Forever as a full game in a reimagined original Azeroth, with more than a thousand new quests across levels 1 to 60, no flying mounts and no level scaling. For WoW Forever tauren leveling the zone itself barely flinches, while your racials got noticeably meaner. War Stomp stays, which remains the best way to tell a quilboar shaman to shut up.

Forever changeWhat it does to your leveling
Plainsrunning racialMovement speed builds the longer you keep moving, so the long walks between wells hurt less.
Endurance adds 1% hitFewer misses on quilboar and fewer pulls that turn into corpse runs.
Cultivation grants bonus herbs without HerbalismFree reagents from flowers you were going to trample anyway.
New small side questsThe demo showed a rescue at a well with a profession tutorial and a flame relay for An’she, both cheap if they sit on your path.
Camping and crafted foodCrafted food can grant a small experience bonus, so Cooking stops being a hobby for retirees.
Shen’dralas regionA new area between Mulgore and Desolace whose level range Blizzard has not published yet.

How to get in: flight paths and coordinates

Tauren spawn in Mulgore, so the entrance problem belongs to everyone else. In Classic routing the only flight point in the zone sits in Thunder Bluff, and Bloodhoof Village has none. Visitors walk west from Camp Taurajo in the Barrens and enter at 71, 61. Blizzard has not announced a Bloodhoof flight master for Forever, so plan to walk and enjoy the surprise if the beta proves otherwise.

The WoW Forever starting zone for tauren is laid out below in Classic coordinates. Paste them into your waypoint addon while add-ons still let you.

Level range: when to come, when to leave

World of Warcraft Forever leveling in Mulgore covers levels 1 to 12 and not a minute more. The zone has no dungeon, and staying past 12 means killing gray wolves for copper while the Barrens hands out real experience.

Camp Narache route, levels 1 to 6

The first WoW Forever Mulgore quests stand right on top of you, which is the last time this zone will be that considerate.

  1. Accept The Hunt Begins from Grull Hawkwind and A Humble Task from Chief Hawkwind.
  2. Kill plainstriders on the way to the well at 50, 81, turn in the chore and accept the second A Humble Task.
  3. Loot the Water Pitcher, return and turn in The Hunt Begins for The Hunt Continues plus your class note, which is Simple Note, Etched Note, Rune-Inscribed Note or Verdant Note.
  4. Hand the pitcher to the chief and accept Rites of the Earthmother.
  5. Kill Mountain Cougars south of camp and accept Rite of Strength from Seer Graytongue at 43, 92.
  6. Turn in The Hunt Continues, then accept The Battleboars and Break Sharptusk! from the patrolling Brave Windfeather.
  7. Empty your bags, kill Battleboars around 57, 86 and enter Brambleblade Ravine at 58, 85.
  8. Kill Bristleback quilboar for Rite of Strength and Chief Sharptusk Thornmantle in the tent at 65, 78.
  9. Loot the Dirt-stained Map in the small cave at 63, 83 to start Attack on Camp Narache.
  10. Hearth, turn in the whole pile and accept the second Rites of the Earthmother.
  11. Grab A Task Unfinished from Antur Fallow at 39, 82 and walk the road to Bloodhoof Village.

Shamans also run Call of Earth here. Drink the Earth Sapta at the Kodo Rock monolith near 54, 80, kill the manifestation and walk back for your Earth Totem.

Bloodhoof Village route, levels 6 to 10

  1. Turn in A Task Unfinished at the inn and bind your hearthstone there.
  2. Turn in Rites of the Earthmother to Baine and accept Sharing the Land, Dwarven Digging and Rite of Vision.
  3. Accept Poison Water, Swoop Hunting, Dangers of the Windfury and Mazzranache from the huts around the fire.
  4. Turn in Rite of Vision to Zarlman Two-Moons and accept the reagent Rite of Vision.
  5. Loot Ambercorn under trees and Well Stones at the Winterhoof well while killing wolves, plainstriders, swoops and cougars.
  6. Clear the Palemane gnolls at 52, 70, then the harpies at 62, 71.
  7. Accept The Ravaged Caravan from Morin Cloudstalker, open the Sealed Supply Crate at 54, 48 and take the second part.
  8. Return, turn in the batch, accept Winterhoof Cleansing and plant the Winterhoof Cleansing Totem at the well.
  9. Turn in the cleansing, accept Thunderhorn Totem and collect claws from every Prairie Stalker and Flatland Cougar that looks at you.
  10. Collect five Prospector’s Picks from diggers at Bael’dun Digsite and leave the forge alone.
  11. Turn in the reagents, take the final Rite of Vision, drink the Water of the Seers and outrun the slow ghost wolf to Seer Wiserunner at 33, 36.
  12. Accept Rite of Wisdom from Wiserunner and head east.

The Poison Water well chain is tauren only. Orcs and trolls who come to Mulgore for the scenery lose the best experience in the zone and should grind gnolls instead. Also skip the forge at Bael’dun Digsite, because the forge in Thunder Bluff at 40, 56 finishes Dwarven Digging without a pack of dwarves chewing on your ankles.

Red Rocks, Thunder Bluff and the exit, levels 10 to 12

This stretch decides whether the WoW Forever leveling route stays tight or dissolves into sightseeing.

  1. Accept A Sacred Burial from Lorekeeper Raintotem at 60, 26 and kill Bristleback Interlopers at Red Rocks.
  2. Turn in Rite of Wisdom to the Ancestral Spirit at 61, 21 and accept Journey into Thunder Bluff.
  3. Return to Bloodhoof, accept Thunderhorn Cleansing and use the Thunderhorn Cleansing Totem at 45, 45.
  4. Clear the Venture Co. Mine at 62, 47 for The Venture Co. and kill Fizsprocket down the right tunnel for Supervisor Fizsprocket.
  5. Turn in Thunderhorn Cleansing, accept Wildmane Totem and take teeth from every Prairie Wolf Alpha north of Thunder Bluff.
  6. Ride the lift at 36, 30, accept Preparation for Ceremony at 38, 60 and finish Dwarven Digging at the forge.
  7. Turn in Journey into Thunder Bluff to Cairne at 60, 52 and accept his Rites of the Earthmother.
  8. Kill harpies in northern Mulgore around 55, 17 for Preparation for Ceremony.
  9. Turn in Wildmane Totem, plant the totem at the Wildmane well at 43, 14 and turn in Wildmane Cleansing.
  10. Hand the mine quests to Morin Cloudstalker and walk east out of the zone.

WoW Forever Thunder Bluff may not match these positions. The reveal trailer hinted at changes, and nobody outside the beta has walked the rises yet, so treat city coordinates as Classic until proven otherwise.

Elite and group quests: do them or skip them

Mulgore has no elite quests, which is Blizzard’s polite way of saying every death here is your own fault.

TargetVerdictReason
Bael’dun Digsite forgeSkipAppraisers heal, diggers pack tight, and Thunder Bluff has a forge with zero dwarves.
Venture Co. MineDoCrowded but soloable if you hug the right wall.
Chief Sharptusk ThornmantleDoNamed, not elite, and Break Sharptusk! pays well at level 5.
Arra’cheaSituationalA patrolling kodo for Cairne’s rite, chase him only if he crosses your path.
Ghost HowlDo if seenHis Demon Scarred Cloak starts The Demon Scarred Cloak for a weapon from Skorn Whitecloud.
New Forever side questsDo if on pathTheir experience value is unknown until beta data lands.

Class quests at level 10

Tauren keep their original four classes in Forever, and no new tauren combinations have been announced. Class updates may rename rewards, but trainers will still send you across Kalimdor for the privilege.

Best quest rewards and zone drops worth keeping

SourceRewardVerdict
Rite of StrengthRock Mace or Stone TomahawkYour first real weapon, take it.
Final Rite of VisionRainwalker Boots or Sun-Beaten CloakBoots for casters, cloak for everyone lacking one.
Supervisor FizsprocketCompact Fighting Knife or Goblin SmasherThe best weapon Mulgore gives you.
Ghost HowlDemon Scarred CloakWearable, and it stays after the quest.
The Demon Scarred CloakWeapon choice from Skorn WhitecloudWorth the detour at level 12.

Cultivation herbs and any cooked food count as zone drops in Forever terms, because crafted food now feeds your experience bar instead of just your character.

Rares and farm spots

WoW Forever rares in Mulgore are few, weak and mostly valuable to hunters. Timers below are Classic observations.

RareLevelWhereWorth it
The Rake10Golden Plains east of Thunder Bluff, near 52, 18Classic hunter favorite for its fast attack speed, about an hour respawn.
Mazzranache9Patrols south and west of Thunder BluffThe pink tallstrider pet, and a nice change from brown.
Snagglespear9Gnoll camps south of Bloodhoof VillagePalemane leader on a one to two hour timer.

Arra’cheaNamedPatrol from 49, 19 around Thunder BluffHorn for Cairne’s rite.
  • Palemane gnolls at 52, 70 give linen and quest kills in the same swing.
  • Battleboars and plainstriders around Kodo Rock feed Cooking, which matters now that food gives experience.
  • Flatland Prowlers and cougars north of Bloodhoof supply leather for skinners and claws for the second totem.
  • The Venture Co. Mine respawns fast enough to grind if a group is already clearing it.

Mulgore lore in two minutes

The tauren roamed the plains of Kalimdor until Cairne Bloodhoof and his tribe, with orc help, drove back the centaur and claimed Mulgore. Thunder Bluff sits on mesas reached by lift, and Red Rocks is the burial ground reserved for the tribes’ honored dead.

The villains are mercenary rather than cosmic. The Venture Company poisons wells for profit, Palemane gnolls skin the wildlife, and Bristleback quilboar squat on sacred ground. Ghost Howl, a white wolf who once fought the Burning Legion, now roams the base of Thunder Bluff mad from a demon wound that never closed.

Forever is set in year 25 ADP, after the Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before Molten Core, in its own continuity. Warcraft Wiki files it under Classic+, so anyone typing Classic Plus Mulgore gets the same lore on a new branch.

Where to go next

Walk east to Camp Taurajo, grab the flight point and take Journey to the Crossroads. The Barrens carries Horde players from 12 to the 20s, with Stonetalon Mountains as the side dish around 16 to 20.

Later, Forever adds its own destinations. The Riverglades cover much of the mid 30s to mid 40s, Shen’dralas waits next door with no public level range, and alts can start over on Zephras Isle as Skyborne from 1 to 12.

What level should I leave Mulgore in WoW Forever?

Leave at level 11 or 12, after Wildmane Cleansing and the Venture Co. Mine, then walk east to Camp Taurajo.

Does Mulgore have a flight path in WoW Forever?

Classic routing puts the only Mulgore flight master in Thunder Bluff, and Blizzard has not announced one for Bloodhoof Village.

Can non-tauren do the Mulgore well quests?

No. The Poison Water chain through Wildmane Cleansing is tauren only, so other races lose that experience entirely.

Are there elite quests in Mulgore?

No elite quests exist in Mulgore, but the Bael’dun Digsite forge pulls packs, so finish Dwarven Digging in Thunder Bluff.

Which Mulgore rare is best for hunters?

The Rake is the pick for looks and legacy speed, while Mazzranache wins for anyone who wants a pink tallstrider.
