WoW Forever Mulgore Leveling Guide: Tauren Route 1-12, Quests and Rares

This WoW Forever Mulgore guide gives you the short version first: a Tauren spends levels 1 to 6 at Camp Narache, 6 to 10 around Bloodhoof Village, and 10 to 12 in northern Mulgore, then walks east into The Barrens. There are no elite quests here, the only real detour is the Venture Co. mine, and the rewards worth keeping are Goblin Smasher, Compact Fighting Knife, Skorn’s Rifle and Kodo Hunter’s Leggings.

Forever launches on November 4, 2026, with beta from September 17 capped at level 20. Blizzard promises more than 1,000 new quests across 1 to 60, no flying and no level scaling, but has not published a single Mulgore-specific change. So the route below runs on the original chains, which still form the fastest backbone, and you bolt new content on top when the servers reveal it.

Mulgore level range: when to arrive and when to leave

The zone covers 1 to 12. Anything above 12 turns every plainstrider into grey experience and every minute here into a lifestyle choice. The plan for World of Warcraft Forever Tauren leveling is simple: finish the chains, hearth, leave.

How to get to Mulgore: entrances, flight path and coordinates

Tauren spawn at Camp Narache, so for them the question answers itself. Everyone else enters through the single pass on the southeastern side from The Barrens, because the valley is walled by mountains on every other side and Blizzard has no intention of letting you parachute in.

  • Orcs and trolls run from Durotar to the Crossroads, then south along the road and west through the Mulgore pass to Bloodhoof Village.
  • Undead take the zeppelin to Durotar first and then repeat the same walk, which is roughly the price of choosing a race that lives on another continent.
  • Horde Skyborne start on Zephras Isle, and Blizzard has not detailed their trip to Kalimdor, so expect the same eastern road until proven otherwise.

The WoW Forever Thunder Bluff flight path is the only one in the zone. Tal stands at (47.0, 49.8) inside Thunder Bluff, and Bloodhoof Village has no flight master, so plan hearthstone use around that fact instead of discovering it at level 9 with bleeding feet.

Camp Narache route: levels 1 to 6

The WoW Forever leveling guide 1-10 starts on Red Cloud Mesa, and the order matters more than the mobs. Grab everything before leaving camp, kill in loops, and never walk back with one quest unfinished.

  1. Accept The Hunt Begins from Grull Hawkwind and A Humble Task from Chief Hawkwind.
  2. Kill Plainstriders south of camp around (51, 86) for feathers and meat while walking to Greatmother Hawkwind at (50.0, 81.2).
  3. Turn in the first A Humble Task, accept A Humble Task, grab a Water Pitcher from the well next to her and bring it back to the Chief.
  4. Turn in The Hunt Begins, accept The Hunt Continues and your class note from Grull, then read the note and visit your trainer.
  5. Accept Rites of the Earthmother from the Chief and Break Sharptusk! from Brave Windfeather at (44.5, 76.5).
  6. Walk south to Seer Graytongue at (42.6, 92.2), turn in and accept Rite of Strength.
  7. Kill Mountain Cougars around (56, 93) for The Hunt Continues pelts, turn in at camp and accept The Battleboars.
  8. Clear Brambleblade Ravine around (58, 82) for Bristleback Belts and kill Battleboars around (59, 89) for The Battleboars.
  9. Click the Dirt-stained Map at (63.2, 82.7) to start Attack on Camp Narache, then kill Chief Sharptusk Thornmantle at (64.7, 77.7).
  10. Pick up A Task Unfinished from Antur Fallow at (38.5, 81.6) on the way back, since it is a free delivery to Bloodhoof.
  11. Turn in Rite of Strength, The Battleboars, Attack on Camp Narache and Break Sharptusk!, then accept Rites of the Earthmother and follow the road north.

Shamans also run Call of Earth from Seer Ravenfeather and follow it to Call of Earth at Kodo Rock (53.9, 80.5), ending with Call of Earth and the Earth Totem. Skipping it means no totems, which is a creative way to play a shaman badly.

Bloodhoof Village route: levels 6 to 10

Bloodhoof is the WoW Forever Horde starting zone hub where the real work happens. Set your hearth with Innkeeper Kauth immediately, then collect every quest in the village before touching a single wolf.

  1. Turn in A Task Unfinished to Innkeeper Kauth, then Rites of the Earthmother to Baine Bloodhoof and accept Rite of Vision, Sharing the Land and Dwarven Digging.
  2. Turn in Rite of Vision to Zarlman Two-Moons at (47.8, 57.5) and accept Rite of Vision.
  3. Accept Swoop Hunting from Harken Windtotem, Dangers of the Windfury from Ruul Eagletalon, Mazzranache from Maur Raincaller and, as a Tauren, Poison Water from Mull Thunderhorn.
  4. Kill Palemane Tanners and Skinners south of the village around (48, 72) for Sharing the Land and pick up Well Stones at the Winterhoof Water Well (53.7, 66.3).
  5. Loot Ambercorn whenever you see it on the ground, since it spawns all over the plains.
  6. Hunt prairie wolves and plainstriders for Poison Water, turn it in, then take the Winterhoof Cleansing totem to the Winterhoof well.
  7. Accept The Ravaged Caravan from Morin Cloudstalker at (57.2, 61.2), open the Sealed Supply Crate at (53.7, 48.2) and bring the documents back for The Ravaged Caravan.
  8. Accept The Venture Co. and Supervisor Fizsprocket from Morin but hold them for the northern loop.
  9. Kill Palemane Poachers west of the village around (31, 61), then dig through the Bael’dun Digsite at (32, 48) for Dwarven Digging picks.
  10. Kill Windfury harpies at (34, 43) for Dangers of the Windfury and collect swoop quills along the way for Swoop Hunting.
  11. Turn everything in, accept Rite of Vision, drink the water at the village fire and follow the spirit to Seer Wiserunner at (32.7, 36.1).

Tauren also carry the Thunderhorn line: Thunderhorn Totem needs stalker and cougar claws, Thunderhorn Cleansing sends you to the Thunderhorn well, and the reward is Thunderhorn Cloak. It overlaps with mobs you kill anyway, so doing it costs almost nothing.

Do not step into the Venture Co. Mine at level 9 alone. Supervisor Fizsprocket sits deep inside at (64.9, 43.3) behind a conveyor belt of workers and supervisors that respawn while you drink. Group at 10 or 11, or accept that the corpse run is part of the rite.

Northern Mulgore and Thunder Bluff: levels 10 to 12

The north is where World of Warcraft Forever Mulgore quests stop babysitting you. Mobs hit harder, harpies cast, and the final chain drags you through Thunder Bluff and back down.

  1. Turn in Rite of Vision, accept Rite of Wisdom and head to Ancestral Spirit at Red Rocks (61.5, 21.0).
  2. Accept A Sacred Burial from Lorekeeper Raintotem at (59.9, 25.6) and kill Bristleback Interloper mobs around (61, 21).
  3. Clear the Venture Co. camp around (64, 38) for The Venture Co., then take a group inside for Supervisor Fizsprocket.
  4. Tauren take Wildmane Totem, kill Prairie Wolf Alpha packs across the north and finish Wildmane Cleansing at the Wildmane well (42.8, 14.0).
  5. Turn in Rite of Wisdom, accept Journey into Thunder Bluff and ride the elevator up to Cairne Bloodhoof.
  6. Accept Rites of the Earthmother from Cairne and Preparation for Ceremony from Eyahn Eagletalon at Thunder Bluff (37.8, 59.6).
  7. Kill Arra’chea around (53.0, 14.0) for the horn, then clear Windfury Ridge at (36, 11) for Azure and Bronze feathers.
  8. Return to Thunder Bluff, turn in both, train, and leave the zone.

What to skip and what to never skip

Skipping is a skill. Skipping the wrong thing is a longer road to the Barrens.

Elite and group quests in Mulgore

Mulgore has zero elite quests. The closest thing to group content is Supervisor Fizsprocket, where the danger is density, not a skull on the portrait. Arra’chea is a normal level 11 kodo, so solo it.

The one genuine threat is Sister Hatelash, a level 11 rare elite harpy at Windfury Ridge (36.2, 11.3). She drops nothing that justifies dying for her, so walk around unless two friends are bored.

Best Mulgore quest rewards worth keeping

Forever reworks item stats, so exact numbers are not final. The WoW Forever quest rewards below matter by slot and timing, not by the tooltip you remember from 2004.

Rares in Mulgore: spawns and coordinates

Where to go after Mulgore

At 11 or 12, walk east through the pass into The Barrens. Tauren grab Journey to the Crossroads from Kirge Sternhorn at Camp Taurajo (44.9, 58.6), which delivers you to Thork at the Crossroads (51.5, 30.9) and a flight path.

For the WoW Forever Tauren starting zone exit there is one Forever wildcard: Shen’dralas, a new region tucked between Mulgore, Desolace and Feralas, tied to the Shen’dralar and the Gelkis and Magram centaurs. Blizzard has not confirmed its level range, so do not plan a level 12 route around a zone that may eat you alive.

During WoW Forever beta leveling, the cap reportedly sits at 20 before rising to 30, so Mulgore and the Barrens are exactly the content worth stress-testing. Check whether new quests appear in Bloodhoof before trusting any route, including this one.

Mulgore lore in brief

Mulgore is the ancestral homeland of the tauren, a grass valley sheltered by the Stonetalon Mountains foothills. Centaur raids kept the tribes nomadic until the orcs helped drive them out, and Cairne Bloodhoof united the tribes and built Thunder Bluff on the mesas.

Red Rocks is the sacred burial ground, which is why the quilboar digging there earn a quest instead of a warning. Baine Bloodhoof runs Bloodhoof Village, the Venture Co. strip-mines the hills, and the Bael’dun dwarves dig where nobody invited them. Every chain in the zone is the same lesson: outsiders take, tauren take it back.

What level range is Mulgore in WoW Forever?

Mulgore covers levels 1 to 12. Tauren leave for the Barrens around level 11 or 12 after the Arra’chea hunt.

Does Mulgore have a flight path in WoW Forever?

Only Thunder Bluff has a Wind Rider Master. Bloodhoof Village has none, so set your hearthstone at its inn early.

Are there elite quests in Mulgore?

No quest in Mulgore is elite. The Venture Co. mine boss is the only spot where a group really helps.

Can non-Tauren Horde characters level in Mulgore?

Yes. Orcs, trolls and undead can run in from the Barrens at 6 to 10 and finish most Bloodhoof quests.

Has Blizzard changed Mulgore quests for WoW Forever?

Blizzard promised over 1,000 new quests across 1 to 60 but has not detailed Mulgore changes, so original chains apply.
