WoW Forever Paladin Quests Guide: Every Class Chain From 1 to 60

The WoW Forever paladin class quests come in five stops: Redemption at level 12, Verigan’s Fist at 20, the Warhorse at 40, the Holy Mightstone chain at 50, and the epic Charger at 60. Humans and Dwarves run the old Silver Hand route out of Stormwind City and Ironforge. Forsaken Paladins get their own journey at Bandarion Keep and a Retribution themed epic mount at 60.

Budget for the full run: roughly 350 gold in fees for the Charger alone, seven five-player dungeon visits, one alchemist friend, and a tolerance for backtracking that would get a courier fired. Do Redemption the moment you hit 12. Everything else is negotiable. Redemption is not.

What Forever changed before you even open the quest log

The World of Warcraft Forever paladin is not the 2019 reprint with a new launcher. Blizzard touched the class, the mounts and the loot, so a few Classic habits will get you killed or robbed.

  • Holy Strike arrives at level 6 as an instant Holy damage swing on a 12 second cooldown.
  • Seals no longer vanish when you cast Judgement, so the Classic seal dance is shorter.
  • Seal of Fury gives Protection a real tank seal with small absorbs and a Judgement taunt.
  • Consecration is baseline at level 20 and Blessing of Kings is baseline for every Paladin.
  • Hit and crit are merged across melee, ranged and spells, which finally makes hybrid gear less stupid.
  • Quest rewards were updated or expanded for more roles, so Classic stat sheets are a reference, not gospel.
  • Mount cost moved into riding training and the trainer hands you a mount, while the Charger stays a level 60 class quest.
  • Undead can now roll Paladin on the Horde side with a separate story and a separate epic mount chain.

Level 3: the trainer breadcrumbs

Humans get a Consecrated Letter, Dwarves get a Consecrated Rune. Both walk you to a Paladin trainer and teach you nothing except that NPCs love sending you places. Takes a minute. Do it for the experience and the illusion of purpose.

Level 12: The Tome of Divinity and the Redemption spell

This is the only chain you are not allowed to skip. Classic Paladins who ignored it became the guy standing over a dead healer with nothing to press. The WoW Forever Redemption quest is a solo errand: cloth, a corpse, one caster mob, done in under an hour.

Human route

  1. Take the breadcrumb from Brother Wilhelm in Goldshire or go straight to Duthorian Rall in the Cathedral of Light in Stormwind City.
  2. Accept The Tome of Divinity and read the Tome of Divinity to start the next step.
  3. Talk to Duthorian again for The Tome of Divinity, which sends you to Stephanie Turner in the Trade District.
  4. Hand Stephanie 10 Linen Cloth for The Tome of Divinity, then walk back for The Tome of Divinity.
  5. Duthorian gives you The Tome of Divinity and a Symbol of Life to deliver to Gazin Tenorm across the room.
  6. Gazin sends you on The Tome of Divinity to Stonecairn Lake in eastern Elwynn Forest.
  7. Use the Symbol of Life on Henze Faulk on the western side of the lake and accept The Tome of Divinity.
  8. Kill a Defias Rogue Wizard nearby for the Defias Script, which only drops while you hold the quest.
  9. Return to Gazin for The Tome of Divinity and finish at Duthorian to learn Redemption.

Dwarf route

  1. Your trainer Azar Stronghammer in Kharanos sends you to Tiza Battleforge in the Mystic Ward of Ironforge.
  2. Accept The Tome of Divinity, read the Tome of Divinity and talk to Tiza again for The Tome of Divinity.
  3. Find John Turner patrolling the Commons and give him 10 Linen Cloth for The Tome of Divinity.
  4. Return to Tiza with The Tome of Divinity and receive The Tome of Divinity plus the Symbol of Life.
  5. Hand it to Muiredon Battleforge for The Tome of Divinity.
  6. Resurrect Narm Faulk on the southern shore of the lake in far eastern Dun Morogh and accept The Tome of Divinity.
  7. Kill a Dark Iron Spy for the Dark Iron Script.
  8. Turn in The Tome of Divinity and finish at Tiza to learn Redemption.

Level 20: The Tome of Valor and Verigan’s Fist

The famous one. Four dungeons and zones on two continents for a single two-hander. The WoW Forever Verigan’s Fist chain is the best argument for having friends, and the best argument against having only one.

Part 1: Daphne’s farm

  1. Get The Tome of Valor from Duthorian Rall in Stormwind City or Brandur Ironhammer in Ironforge.
  2. Read the Tome of Valor to start The Tome of Valor and talk to your questgiver again.
  3. Accept The Tome of Valor and ride to Daphne Stilwell on her hillside farm in southern Westfall, reached by a small road from the southwest corner.
  4. Accepting The Tome of Valor spawns three waves of Defias, and Daphne dies if you get greedy.
  5. Heal Daphne, drink between waves and keep aggro, then take The Tome of Valor back to Duthorian for Sense Undead and Bastion of Stormwind.

Part 2: The Test of Righteousness

Duthorian hands you The Test of Righteousness. Take the tram to Ironforge and find Jordan Stilwell outside the front gate for The Test of Righteousness. He wants four components. He will not tell you they are on two continents until you have already agreed.

ComponentWhereHow
Whitestone Oak LumberThe DeadminesDrops from Goblin Woodcarver mobs in the lumber room. High drop rate.
Jordan’s Smithing HammerShadowfang KeepLying in the Fel Steed stables in the courtyard.
Jordan’s Refined Ore ShipmentLoch ModanTake Bailor’s Ore Shipment from Bailor Stonehand in Thelsamar and grab Jordan’s Ore Shipment from the ogre camp at Mo’grosh Stronghold.
Purified Kor GemDarkshore and Blackfathom DeepsTake Seeking the Kor Gem from Thundris Windweaver in Auberdine and loot a Corrupted Kor Gem from naga outside the instance.

The Kor Gem only drops while the quest is in your log. It comes from Blackfathom Tide Priestess, Blackfathom Oracle and Blackfathom Sea Witch in the flooded cave, no instance entry required. With all four pieces, return to Jordan, accept The Test of Righteousness, and watch a man hammer for a minute. Your reward is Verigan’s Fist.

Level 40: The Tome of Nobility and the Warhorse

In Classic this was a one-sentence quest. Talk to Duthorian Rall, complete The Tome of Nobility, learn Summon Warhorse. No riding fee, no mount purchase, no effort.

Forever moved mount cost into riding training and hands out a mount when you learn the skill, so the free-horse perk that made this quest special is diluted. Blizzard also showed a separate level 40 mount for Forsaken Paladins. Pick up the tome anyway: it costs nothing and the horse still looks better than whatever the stable sells.

Read this before you trust a waypoint. Forever revamps three original zones, adds three new ones, and reworks quest rewards across the board. Every Wowhead ID in this guide points to the Classic database, where these chains live today. Quest IDs, NPC names and chain order carried over from Classic are the most reliable part. Coordinates and reward stats are the least.

Two pins are confirmed from Classic data: Duthorian Rall at 40.0, 29.8 in Stormwind City, and Daphne Stilwell at roughly 42, 88 in Westfall. Everyone else is described by location. Check each pin in the beta starting September 17 before you fly across a continent for nothing.

Level 50: Forging the Mightstone

A Sunken Temple chain that most Paladins skip and later regret on undead bosses. It starts with Chillwind Point from Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker in Stormwind City or Brandur Ironhammer in Ironforge.

  1. Report to Commander Ashlam Valorfist at Chillwind Camp in southern Western Plaguelands.
  2. Accept Dispelling Evil and collect 20 Minion’s Scourgestone from Scourge while wearing an Argent Dawn Commission.
  3. Turn the stones in to High Priest Thel’danis at Uther’s Tomb east of the camp.
  4. Carry Inert Scourgestones back to Valorfist and accept Forging the Mightstone.
  5. Kill the six troll minibosses on the upper balconies of the Sunken Temple for Amber, Blue and Green Voodoo Feathers, two of each.
  6. Return to Valorfist for the Holy Mightstone and a choice of Lightforged Blade, Sanctified Orb or Chivalrous Signet.

The feathers also feed Warrior, Warlock, Shaman and Priest quests, so you will never lack company. You will lack a group that waits while you loot.

Level 60: The Light and How To Swing It

A book allegedly written by Uther himself, dropping from bosses and Dusty Tomes in Dire Maul. Hand it to Lorekeeper Mykos in the Athenaeum for The Light and How To Swing It and receive Royal Seal of Eldre’Thalas. Requires level 54. It is also tradeable, so check the Auction House before farming.

Level 60: Summoning the Charger

The WoW Forever charger quest is still a level 60 class chain, not a trainer purchase. Blizzard framed the Alliance version as a mount earned in the name of Redemption. Start with Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker from Duthorian Rall or any Paladin trainer in Stormwind City or Ironforge.

Part 1: the censer

  1. Accept Emphasis on Sacrifice from Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker and buy Rohan’s Exorcism Censer from High Priest Rohan in the Mystic Ward of Ironforge for 150 gold.
  2. Bring it back with To Show Due Judgment.
  3. Take Exorcising Terrordale to Terrordale in northwestern Eastern Plaguelands, past the main gate of Stratholme.
  4. Use the Exorcism Censer on the green glowing spots and kill 25 Terrordale Spirit mobs.

Part 2: the barding

  1. Accept The Work of Grimand Elmore and find Grimand Elmore in the Dwarven District of Stormwind City.
  2. Complete Collection of Goods with the cloth, herbs, bars, holy water and 150 gold.
  3. Return Grimand’s barding to Grayson with Grimand’s Finest Work and accept Ancient Equine Spirit.
  4. Detour to Southshore in Hillsbrad Foothills and pay Merideth Carlson 20 biscuits and 50 gold for Manna-Enriched Horse Feed.
  5. Kill Tendris Warpwood in Dire Maul West and talk to the Ancient Equine Spirit that appears.
  6. Carry Blessed Arcanite Barding back to Grayson.

Part 3: the Scholomance event

Hand over the diamonds for The Divination Scryer, then take Judgment and Redemption into Scholomance. Clear Rattlegore and his whole room, get every party member inside, then place the Divination Scryer in the center. The door locks. Four waves follow, and in Classic the right seal judged on each wave stunned it.

WaveMobClassic seal to judge
1Banal SpiritSeal of Wisdom
2Malicious SpiritSeal of Justice
3Corrupted SpiritSeal of Righteousness
4Shadowed SpiritSeal of Light

Then Death Knight Darkreaver spawns with a mind control you must dispel immediately. Loot the Charger’s Lost Soul, redeem Darkreaver’s Fallen Charger, turn in, and learn Summon Charger.

  • Train the highest seal ranks first, because in Classic only max rank judgements stunned the waves.
  • Spamming Judgement early summons the wave boss sooner and can wipe you, so pace it.
  • A wipe consumes the scryer, so abandon the quest in Stormwind and re-accept it to get a fresh satchel.
  • Forever changed how Judgement interacts with seals, so treat the wave table as a starting point, not a promise.

Forsaken Paladins: Bandarion Keep and the Retribution charger

The WoW Forever Forsaken paladin does not walk to Stormwind for a tome, for obvious reasons involving guards. Blizzard ties their story to Bandarion Keep in the Whispering Wood of Tirisfal Glades, right after the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, when undead Paladins are distrusted by their own people.

At 60 they get an epic mount quest in the name of Retribution, and Blizzard already showed both a level 40 and a level 60 Forsaken mount. Quest names, steps, costs and rewards are not published. Anyone selling you a full WoW Forever undead paladin walkthrough today is writing fan fiction with affiliate links.

  • The Forsaken start is Horde and costs nothing extra, unlike the Skyborne race.
  • Cannibalize now restores mana as well as health, which matters more for a Paladin than a Rogue.
  • Touch of the Grave gives attacks a chance to drain health, a free trickle of sustain while questing.
  • Will of the Forsaken still breaks Charm, Fear and Sleep but no longer grants immunity afterward.

Rewards: which ones still matter at 60

Short answer: the spells and the Charger. Most item rewards are leveling crutches. Forever rebalanced quest loot, so the verdicts below come from the Classic versions and may shift.

RewardChainStill good at 60?
RedemptionTome of DivinityYes. Your only resurrection, forever.
Sense UndeadTome of ValorSituational. Tracking undead in Stratholme, Scholomance and the Plaguelands.
Bastion of StormwindTome of ValorNo. Vendor it around level 30.
Verigan’s FistTest of RighteousnessNo. Blue item level 31 two-hander. Transmog at best.
Summon WarhorseTome of NobilityNo. Replaced by the Charger.
Holy MightstoneForging the MightstoneYes, situationally. 300 attack power against undead for 10 minutes, one charge.
Lightforged BladeForging the MightstoneNo. Easily replaced two-hander.
Sanctified OrbForging the MightstoneMaybe. The only one of the three with any shelf life past 60.
Chivalrous SignetForging the MightstoneFiller ring until your first dungeon upgrade.
Royal Seal of Eldre’ThalasThe Light and How To Swing ItFiller. 150 armor, 22 healing, 10 fire resistance.
Summon ChargerJudgment and RedemptionYes. Epic speed, class fantasy, bragging rights.

Transmog note: Forever removes level restrictions on valid appearances at 60, and plate still only transmogs to plate. Verigan’s Fist is a two-handed mace, so its look survives long after its stats die.

What you lose by skipping

Every WoW Forever paladin mount quest and class chain is optional in theory. In practice, skipping them costs you something specific.

  • Skip Redemption and every group you join will kick you the first time someone dies.
  • Skip the Tome of Valor and you lose Sense Undead plus the strongest two-hander most Paladins see before level 30.
  • Skip the Tome of Nobility and you pay for a generic trainer mount instead of the class horse.
  • Skip the Mightstone and you lose a 10 minute undead damage burst built for Stratholme and Scholomance.
  • Skip the Charger and you ride a stable horse at level 60 while every Paladin around you glows.
  • Skip the Forsaken chain and you miss the only new Paladin story Forever added at launch.

Lore: why a blacksmith, a farmer and a dead horse matter

Jordan Stilwell was supposed to become a Paladin and became a smith instead, trained by Bailor Stonehand. He and his wife Daphne Stilwell once worked at the keep that Arugal later turned into Shadowfang Keep, which is why his hammer is still lying in the stables. The mace is named for his old friend Bosch Verigan.

Lord Grayson Shadowbreaker is the senior Paladin of the Cathedral and the man who shepherds young knights toward their charger. The final test is redemption in the literal sense: you do not buy a mount, you free a fallen death knight’s horse from the Scourge. Commander Ashlam Valorfist’s Mightstones come from the same idea, turning Scourge evil against itself.

Forever adds a darker mirror. Undead Paladins come out of the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, mistrusted by the living and the dead. Alliance knights ride in the name of Redemption. Forsaken knights ride in the name of Retribution. One of those sounds like forgiveness. The other sounds like a plan.

Leveling notes for the Forever class run

For WoW Forever paladin leveling, stack the chains onto dungeons you already need: Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep around 20 to 25, Sunken Temple near 50, Dire Maul and Scholomance at 60. The Legacy System also rewards finishing a class, so a full run pays out on your next alt.

Anyone searching for classic plus paladin quests now lands on Forever, which is the whole point of the name. Treat this page as the map, and the beta as the fact check.

At what level do Paladin class quests start in WoW Forever?

Redemption opens at level 12. Breadcrumbs start at 3, and the remaining chains unlock at 20, 40, 50 and 60.

Is Verigan’s Fist worth doing in WoW Forever?

Yes for leveling. It needs Deadmines and Shadowfang Keep, but the mace outclasses most two-handers until roughly level 30.

How much gold does the Paladin Charger quest cost?

Classic data puts the fees at 350 gold, plus Arcanite Bars, Runecloth, holy water, herbs and two diamonds bought separately.

Do Forsaken Paladins get their own mount quest?

Yes. Blizzard confirmed a level 60 Retribution themed epic mount chain tied to Bandarion Keep, but steps are unpublished.

Can I skip the Redemption quest as a Paladin?

You can, but you should not. Redemption is your only resurrection spell and groups expect it the moment someone dies.
