WoW Forever Priest Class Quests: Every Chain From 1 to 60

The full list of WoW Forever priest quests is short and mostly errands: a level 4 robe test, a racial spell quest at 10 and another at 20, the level 52 Sunken Temple chain, and the level 60 staff Benediction / Anathema. Only two of them ask anything of you. The rest ask for your travel time and your dignity.

Forever is set before Molten Core, so the old endgame chain is the Priest endgame again. The catch: the BlizzCon 2026 demo already moved Fear Ward and Devouring Plague to baseline, which quietly guts two of the old racial quests. Anyone rolling a World of Warcraft Forever priest should still run every chain below, because racial spells in this game still come from quests, not from goodwill.

Every Priest Class Quest in Order

All WoW Forever class quests for Priests are listed below by unlock level. Classic Anniversary data is the skeleton, since Forever ships on the same original continents with the same trainers.

Racial breadcrumbs can be picked up from several trainers, including ones in other races’ cities. The turn-in NPC never changes, so the only variable is how far you walk.

Level 4: The Robe Test

Every race gets the same test with a different wounded extra. It takes five minutes and exists to check whether you can read a spell rank.

  1. Train Lesser Heal Rank 2 at level 4 before you accept the quest.
  2. Accept the Garments quest from your starting town trainer listed in the table.
  3. Find the wounded NPC nearby, for example Guard Roberts by the lake east of Goldshire.
  4. Target him and cast Lesser Heal Rank 2, because Rank 1 does nothing for the objective.
  5. Cast Power Word: Fortitude on the same NPC.
  6. Return to the trainer and collect a robe you will replace by level 12.

Skipping costs you around 270 XP and a white robe. Nobody at 60 has ever missed it.

Levels 10 and 20: Racial Spell Quests

The WoW Forever priest racials sit behind two quests per race. Neither quest has an objective. You walk to a city, press a button, and learn a spell. The sadism is geographic: Dwarves learn Desperate Prayer in Stormwind and Fear Ward in Ironforge, and Night Elves on Teldrassil take a boat and a portal for a single conversation.

  1. Hit level 10 or 20 and visit any Priest trainer to receive the breadcrumb.
  2. Travel to the race leader named in the quest log.
  3. Talk to that NPC to finish the quest, then accept the follow-up if one appears.
  4. Learn the spell from the completion screen and put it on your bars immediately.

Night Elves get a two-step version at 10: Returning Home sends you to Priestess Alathea, who then offers Stars of Elune. Everyone else is done in one handoff.

Important for Forever: the BlizzCon 2026 demo shows Fear Ward and Devouring Plague as baseline for every Priest. A Lack of Fear and the Undead Devouring Plague quest therefore cannot teach what they taught in Classic. Dwarves pick up Chastise, Humans pick up Divine Grace, Undead pick up Dark Sacrifice, and Gnome Priests exist with their own pair. Which new spell hides behind which quest level is unconfirmed until the beta, which is capped at level 30 and covers both unlocks.

The practical meaning of WoW Forever Fear Ward being baseline: raid leaders no longer need to recruit a Dwarf, and Dwarf players lose their only reason to be invited. Pick a race for the racial pair in the right column, not the left one.

Skipping these quests costs you your whole racial kit. There is no trainer fallback in this era, so a Priest who ignores the breadcrumb simply plays with two fewer buttons forever.

Level 52: Cenarion Aid and the Blood of Morphaz

The only real quest before 60. It needs a dungeon group once and a lot of patience with drop rates. For WoW Forever priest leveling, slot it in when you already run Sunken Temple, not as a dedicated trip.

  1. Accept Cenarion Aid from a Priest trainer in a capital, such as High Priest Rohan or Ur’kyo.
  2. Travel to Ogtinc on the cliffs northeast of the Ruins of Eldarath in Azshara at 42.4, 42.7.
  3. Complete Of Coursers We Know by killing Mosshoof Coursers in Azshara for glands, which drop roughly once per five to ten kills.
  4. Complete The Ichor of Undeath by looting an Ichor of Undeath from undead mobs level 40 and higher.
  5. Accept Blood of Morphaz and kill Morphaz inside Sunken Temple in the Swamp of Sorrows with a five-player group.
  6. Loot the Blood of Morphaz and deliver it to Greta Mosshoof in Felwood as the quest log instructs.
  7. Choose your reward, and choose correctly.
RewardTypeStill good at 60
Blessed Prayer BeadsHealing on-use trinketYes. Worth roughly 17 spell power averaged over its cooldown and stacks with other on-use trinkets.
WoestaveShadow wandNo. Stratholme and Scholomance replace it within a few levels.
Circle of HopeRingNo. Replaced by the same dungeons almost immediately.

Take the Beads even as Shadow. The wand feels nice for eight levels and then becomes a very expensive stick.

Level 60: Benediction and Anathema

The WoW Forever Benediction chain is the only Priest quest with a raid gate, a solo skill check, and an item you can buy. It produces one staff that swaps between a healing form and a Shadow form.

Splinter of NordrassilReward from The Balance of Light and ShadowQuest item
  1. Join a Molten Core raid that has doused all seven Runes of the Firelord with Aqual Quintessence, since Majordomo Executus does not appear otherwise.
  2. Win The Eye of Divinity from the cache, which holds either the Eye or the Hunter quest item Ancient Petrified Leaf.
  3. Equip The Eye of Divinity and ride to northwestern Eastern Plaguelands, where Eris Havenfire becomes visible at 17, 14.
  4. Accept The Balance of Light and Shadow and save 50 peasants before 15 of them die, checking the Death Post for the body count.
  5. Heal the peasants, cleanse their disease, and kill the skeletons that target both you and them.
  6. Return to Eris for the Splinter of Nordrassil.
  7. Farm or buy The Eye of Shadow, then use the Splinter with both Eyes in your bags to create the staff.

Prepare for the event like it is a raid boss that only you can see. Gear for Stamina and mana regeneration over raw healing, bring mana potions and elixirs, and spec so Abolish Disease is cheap to spam. Outside help spawns The Cleaner, who kills everyone involved, so your guild can only watch. Failure sends Eris on a respawn timer.

The WoW Forever Anathema side is the same item. Use the staff to transform it, with a 30-minute cooldown, so decide your role before the raid, not between pulls.

At 60 in Classic Anniversary the staff carries healers through Molten Core and into Blackwing Lair. Forever is redesigning items and adds two new raids at launch, so treat its long-term value as unknown and its prestige as guaranteed.

What Skipping Costs You

  • Skipping the robe test costs a starter robe and a few hundred XP, which is nothing.
  • Skipping the racial quests costs both racial spells, which is the single worst trade on this page.
  • Skipping Blood of Morphaz costs Blessed Prayer Beads, a trinket healers keep deep into endgame.
  • Skipping Benediction costs the signature Priest weapon and the only class epic you will ever flex on a mailbox.

This Classic Plus priest guide ranks them simply: racial quests are mandatory, the Beads are strongly recommended, the staff is the reason you rolled Priest, and the robe is optional humiliation.

Lore Behind the Chains

The robe tests are the church, Elune, the Forsaken clergy, and the loa each checking that a recruit can mend a guard before trusting them with anything important. The level 10 and 20 summons are the same institutions deciding you are worth their private spells.

Cenarion Aid pulls Priests into the Cenarion Circle effort to cure corrupted Felwood. The green drake Morphaz is immune to poison and disease, so his blood becomes the second cure, which is a polite way of saying you murder a dragon for medicine.

Eris Havenfire is a ghost bound to the road outside Stratholme, where she failed to save fleeing peasants. You rerun her failure until you succeed, and her curse lifts only if you do better than she did. The Splinter of Nordrassil ties the staff to the World Tree itself.

Forever places all of this in the first year of World of Warcraft, after the Warcraft III Reforged: Forsaken Kingdom campaign and before Molten Core, in its own continuity. The WoW Forever release date is November 4, 2026, with beta starting September 17, so the ghost has two months left to rehearse.

What Priest class quests exist in WoW Forever?

A level 4 robe test, racial quests at 10 and 20, a level 52 Sunken Temple chain, Benediction at 60.

Do Priests still need a quest for Fear Ward in WoW Forever?

No. The BlizzCon 2026 demo shows Fear Ward baseline for all Priests, so the Dwarf quest cannot teach it.

Where does the Benediction quest start?

Loot The Eye of Divinity in Molten Core, equip it, then find Eris Havenfire in Eastern Plaguelands at 17, 14.

Which Sunken Temple Priest reward should I take?

Take Blessed Prayer Beads. Woestave and Circle of Hope are replaced by Stratholme and Scholomance loot almost immediately after.

Can a friend help with The Balance of Light and Shadow?

No. Outside help spawns The Cleaner, who kills everyone involved, so bring consumables instead of friends to the event.
