WoW Forever Shen’dralar Reputation Guide: Every Turn-In to Exalted
World of Warcraft Forever Shen’dralar reputation has no vendor, no daily and no mob grind. You become Neutral the moment you set foot in the Athenaeum inside Dire Maul, and every point after that comes from handing librams to Lorekeeper Lydros at 500 reputation per turn-in. Exalted sits at 42,000 points, which is 84 turn-ins, which is 84 Pristine Black Diamonds out of your own pocket.
Forever moved the story outward, not the math. Shen’dralas is a level 60 zone wedged between Mulgore and Desolace, reached through the Valley of Bones in southern Desolace, and it hands the Shen’dralar a proper questing home with Mordent Evenshade instead of one library at the back of a dungeon. The WoW Forever release date is November 4, 2026, with beta on September 17, and Blizzard has published no reputation reward lists yet. Everything below is the inherited Classic ruleset, which is what the Forever build starts from until a beta patch says otherwise.
How to unlock the faction
Two gates exist and most players only notice the first one. Gate one is physical access to the Athenaeum. Gate two is Elven Legends for Alliance from Scholar Runethorn in Feathermoon Stronghold, or Elven Legends for Horde from Sage Korolusk in Camp Mojache, Feralas. Skip that one and Lydros will take your class book and refuse your librams, which is the single most common mistake in any WoW Forever reputation guide comment section.
- The West and North wings need a Crescent Key that drops from Pusillin in Dire Maul East after he runs the length of the wing.
- Rogues open both doors with Pick Lock at 275 lockpicking or steal the key with Pick Pocket from Guard Mol’dar.
- Engineers open them with a Powerful Seaforium Charge and blacksmiths with an Arcanite Skeleton Key.
- Elven Legends is completed by examining the Skeletal Remains of Telmius Dreamseeker inside the library, so the quest and the first turn-in happen on the same run.
- Reputation is per character in the Classic ruleset, so account-wide perks in Forever do not carry your grind to an alt.
Quartermaster location and coordinates
There is no quartermaster. The closest thing is the Shen’dralar Provisioner standing in the Athenaeum with a limited stock of Pattern: Mooncloth Robe, sold at Neutral to anyone who walks in. Every entrance to Dire Maul in WoW Forever sits in central Feralas, and the Athenaeum connects the West and North wings, so North is the short route and West is the long one through Immol’thar.

Fastest route to Exalted
The entire Shen’dralar rep farm is a supply problem, not a combat problem. One-time quests cover roughly 3,000 to 3,500 points on a good class, and the remaining 38,000 or so is librams in a loop. Nobody grinds mobs for this faction because no mob in the game awards Shen’dralar reputation.
- Clear Dire Maul East once for the Crescent Key and any libram drops on the way.
- Enter North, take the ramp to the Athenaeum, finish Elven Legends and turn in your class book for 500.
- Run the three Enchanted Thorium Platemail quests if you are an armorsmith, since they pay reputation and plans at the same time.
- Finish the Quel’Serrar chain on a warrior or paladin for another block of reputation and the sword.
- Buy or farm Pristine Black Diamonds and Large Brilliant Shards in bulk, because they are the actual bottleneck.
- Repeat libram turn-ins until the bar stops moving at 42,000.

Turn-in items and where to farm them
Three WoW Forever librams repeat forever and each one pays 500 reputation plus a head or leg enchant you can sell. The librams themselves drop inside Dire Maul, traditionally Focus in the West wing, Rapidity in the East wing and Protection in the North wing, with boss and trash drops both possible.

Pristine Black Diamonds are also the currency of the epic mount questlines, so your Exalted push is bidding against every paladin and warlock on the server. Eighty-four of them is not a reputation grind, it is a second epic mount you cannot ride.
Rewards by standing
This is where the faction reveals its personality. Standings unlock nothing at all. Every reward attached to the Shen’dralar is a quest reward available at Neutral, which means a player at Exalted and a player who walked in yesterday shop from the same empty shelf.

Class books and the Royal Seal trinkets
Rare books drop from Dire Maul enemies and from A Dusty Tome spawns in any wing. Each one starts a short delivery quest into the library, pays 500 reputation once, and returns a fire resistance trinket built for your class. They are bind on equip until used, so the auction house is a legitimate shortcut.
BiS rewards and which class wants them
The enchants matter more than the trinkets, and they matter for the entire 60 endgame rather than one tier. Both a head piece and a leg piece can carry an Arcanum, so every serious character eventually buys two.
- The Arcanum of Focus in WoW Forever is the default head and leg enchant for every caster and healer who cares about throughput.
- Arcanum of Protection goes on tanks who need avoidance against bosses that hit in a straight line.
- Arcanum of Rapidity is the melee and hunter option and competes badly against raw damage enchants in most sims.
- The Royal Seal trinkets exist for fire resistance stacking, which means Molten Core and anything Forever builds on top of that model.
- Quel’Serrar remains a pre-raid tanking weapon and the only piece of gear here worth organizing a raid night around.
The Quel’Serrar chain
Warriors and paladins start with Nostro’s Compendium of Dragon Slaying, the book older players still call Foror’s. It drops rarely in Dire Maul, it is tradeable, and the chain runs Nostro’s Compendium into two steps of The Forging of Quel’Serrar and The Forging of Quel’Serrar, ending with Onyxia breathing on your blade before you kill her. Quel’Serrar in WoW Forever costs an Onyxia lockout and pays about 1,000 reputation across the chain, with Wowhead listing 200 on the opening turn-in. The reward is Quel’Serrar.
Blacksmithing plans and the Enchanted Thorium set
Armorsmiths get three one-time quests, each requiring two half-books combined into one volume and delivered to Lydros. Databases disagree on the payout, listing anywhere from 200 to 500 reputation per volume, so treat them as a bonus rather than a plan.

The two quests everyone forgets
Arcane Refreshment is a level 60 mage quest from Lydros that wants a Hydrospawn Essence off Hydrospawn in Dire Maul East, paying 200 reputation and rank 7 Conjure Water. Pusillin and the Elder Azj’Tordin comes from Azj’Tordin in Feralas and wants the Book of Incantations from the same imp who carries your key, paying 500.
What the reputation actually gates
Nothing is attuned behind it, no mount is sold by it, no raid opens because of it and no recipe requires a standing above Neutral. In the original client the faction only mattered later as a component of a title chased across several expansions, which is a polite way of saying the grind was retroactively given a purpose. The honest reason to push Exalted in WoW Forever Classic Plus is that the reputation pane is visible to other people.
The open question is whether the Shen’dralas zone in WoW Forever adds reward tiers to the faction, since the zone is built for level 60 and the panel tied it directly to Eldre’Thalas, Prince Tortheldrin and the Gelkis and Magram centaur. Blizzard has confirmed neither a quartermaster nor a reward list. If turn-in rates change, they change during beta, and this page changes with them.
Lore
The Shen’dralar were Azshara’s librarians, sent south with her most dangerous tomes to build Eldre’Thalas. They survived the Sundering by shielding the city and then discovered the Well of Eternity was gone, which cost them their immortality. Prince Tortheldrin solved the withdrawal by binding the demon Immol’thar behind pylons and siphoning him.
The arithmetic failed eventually, the demon cost more than he produced, and Tortheldrin began murdering his own people to keep the remainder supplied. The survivors are the handful of lorekeepers who now trade enchants for your shards, standing in a library full of the ghosts of their colleagues. Forever picks the story up from there, which is the first time in twenty years anyone has asked what the survivors want.

Enter the Athenaeum inside Dire Maul, then complete Elven Legends in Feralas to open libram turn-ins with Lydros.
How long does Exalted with Shen’dralar take?
Eighty-four libram turn-ins from Neutral, each consuming a Pristine Black Diamond, so expect weeks of farming or heavy gold spending.
Is there a Shen’dralar quartermaster?
No. The Shen’dralar Provisioner only sells a Mooncloth Robe pattern, available at Neutral, and no standing unlocks additional stock.
