WoW Forever Stormwind Reputation Guide: Route to Exalted

WoW Forever Stormwind reputation runs on the old 42,000 point spine: 3,000 to Friendly, another 6,000 to Honored, another 12,000 to Revered, then 21,000 more to Exalted. Only the last standing matters. Exalted is the gate on Horse Riding and on every human bridle for characters who are not human. Everything below it is decoration you paid for.

The route is unglamorous: cloth handed to Clavicus Knavingham, every human-zone quest taken while it is still worth full value, and the crate loop when the auction house runs dry. The WoW Forever release date is November 4, 2026, so the numbers here are the vanilla baseline you plan against until Blizzard publishes the Forever values.

Unlocking the faction and finding the quartermaster

There is nothing to unlock. Stormwind is open from character creation, Neutral for everyone, Friendly for humans who did nothing to earn it. World of Warcraft Forever keeps the capital standing where it always stood, so the turn-in NPC has not moved and neither has your excuse.

Clavicus Knavingham waits upstairs in Duncan’s Textiles, Mage Quarter, Stormwind City, near 44, 74. He is a cloth quartermaster, not an armor vendor. He takes your bolts and hands back a good word with the citizenry, which is worth precisely as much as it sounds.

Half the grind lives inside Revered. That single bar is longer than Neutral, Friendly and Honored combined, which is why WoW Forever Exalted ruins so many alts. Humans carry Diplomacy for ten percent more on every gain, so plan for a human main or accept the extra fortnight.

The first four are one-time and must be done in order before the repeatable unlocks. After that it is 50 points per 20 Runecloth forever. Any WoW Forever reputation guide that promises a shortcut here is selling you a boost, because Revered to Exalted is 420 turn-ins and 8,400 Runecloth, and Neutral to Exalted on cloth alone is 16,800.

Fastest route to Exalted

1. Do every Northshire and Elwynn Forest quest before level 12 while they still pay full value.
2. Clear Westfall and the full Defias chain into The Deadmines in the teens.
3. Hand in 60 Wool Cloth the moment you hit 12, then Silk at 26 and Mageweave at 40.
4. Run Redridge Mountains and Duskwood in the twenties, then The Stockade chain out of the Mage Quarter.
5. Unlock the repeatable Runecloth turn-in at 50 and buy cloth in bulk on quiet weekday evenings.
6. Grind the remaining Revered bar with Runecloth, crates, or both until the bar stops moving.

Order matters more than effort. A quest turned in five levels late pays a fraction, and grey quests pay almost nothing, so the WoW Forever beta is the correct place to test your zone order rather than your live character’s patience.

Quests and zones that pay Stormwind

• Elwynn Forest and Northshire carry the densest early reputation per minute in the game.
• Westfall pays well across the entire Defias storyline and the Sentinel Hill hub.
• Redridge Mountains and Duskwood keep paying deep into the twenties.
• The Stockade quest chain rewards the only dungeon reputation worth detouring for at that level.
• Westfall Deed starts Furlbrow’s Deed and drops from Defias Rogue Wizard and Defias Dockmaster at a rate designed to test your faith.

WoW Forever Classic Plus content adds new quests across the whole 1 to 60 bracket, and some of those will route reputation into the old city factions. Until the data is live, assume the human zones remain the backbone and treat anything extra as a bonus you did not budget for.

The crate loop for people with no gold

Scattered Crate spawns around sixteen points in Swamp of Sorrows and holds Lost Supplies, which starts The Lost Supplies. You carry it to Quartermaster Lungertz at Nethergarde Keep in Blasted Lands, collect 25 reputation and a Box of Supplies, then walk back.

The item is unique, so one crate per lap, roughly five minutes each on a 60 percent mount. Revered to Exalted is about 840 laps. It costs no gold and about fifty hours, and herbalists can at least strip Blindweed on the way through.

The crate loop pays 25 points at level 45 and under. Past 46 the quest greys out and drops toward single digits, at which point you are running a marathon for two reputation a lap. Do it between 40 and 45 or do not do it at all.

The WoW Forever Legacy system adds account-bound perks tied to completionist categories, one of which covers maximizing reputations. If the reputation perk lands as advertised, the second character through this grind suffers measurably less than the first. The first character still suffers.

The WoW Forever horse mount payout sits with Randal Hunter and Katie Hunter at Eastvale Logging Camp in Elwynn Forest, around 84, 64. He trains the skill, she sells the animal. Neither will speak to a dwarf below Exalted.

• Pinto Bridle is the 60 percent horse most players buy first.
• Chestnut Mare Bridle and Brown Horse Bridle are identical in every way that matters.
• Black Stallion Bridle comes from Unger Statforth at Menethil Harbor in Wetlands.
• Swift Palomino, Swift Brown Steed and Swift White Steed are the 100 percent versions at level 60.

Best in slot and which class wants it

There is no gear. Stormwind sells no rings, no cloaks, no recipes and no trinkets at any standing. The best in slot reward is a horse, the class that wants it is every class with legs, and the only real question is whether you can stand the colour.

Black War Steed Bridle from Lieutenant Karter in the Champions Hall is the one horse that is not reputation gated. It is gated behind PvP Rank 11 instead, which is worse. Choose your suffering.

What the reputation gates

• Horse Riding training for any Alliance character who is not human.
• Every human bridle at both 60 percent and 100 percent speed.
• A ten percent discount at Honored on training and mount purchase.
• No attunement, no raid access and no recipe depends on this faction.

That is the whole list. The Skyborne, the new race that picks a side at creation, will need Exalted for a horse exactly like every dwarf and gnome before them. WoW Forever account-wide perks may soften the repeat runs, but the gate itself is unchanged and the gate is a stable in Elwynn Forest.

Lore

Stormwind is the human kingdom rebuilt after the orcish invasion levelled it, funded by an Alliance that never paid the stonemasons properly. That unpaid bill became the Defias Brotherhood, which is why your first thirty levels of reputation come from killing bricklayers in Westfall for a city that owes them money.

Forever sits in the first year of that story, before Molten Core and before the Dark Portal reopens. The kingdom is stretched thin, the boy king is a boy, and the citizenry genuinely does need bandages. Your cloth donations are canon. Your eight thousand Runecloth are a logistics miracle nobody in the Trade District will ever mention.
