Timbermaw Hold Reputation in WoW Forever: Route to Exalted
The WoW Forever Timbermaw Hold reputation guide in one breath: you start at 2,500/3,000 Hostile, the intro quests in Felwood open the tunnel, kills on Deadwood and Winterfall furbolgs pay 5 rep each only until Revered, and the final 21,000 points come from turn-ins worth 50 rep per 5 tokens. That is 420 hand-ins, or 2,100 tokens. There is no shortcut, only arithmetic.
The payoff is free passage through Timbermaw Hold, eleven crafting recipes, two agility weapon enchants that hunters and cat druids actually use, and the Defender of the Timbermaw trinket at Exalted. No mount, no attunement, no raid key. Forever keeps the level 60 cap and ships without flying, so the tunnel between Felwood, Winterspring and Moonglade is still a road you walk, not a museum piece.
How to Unlock the Timbermaw Faction
Timbermaw inside the Hold attack on sight until you reach Unfriendly. Killing one of them, even in self defense, costs reputation, so do not bulldoze the tunnel on day one. Walk around it and earn the door.
- Find Grazle west of the road opposite the Emerald Sanctuary in southern Felwood, around 50, 84, and take Timbermaw Ally.
- Kill 6 Deadwood Warriors, 6 Deadwood Pathfinders and 6 Deadwood Gardeners in Deadwood Village west of him, then accept Speak to Nafien.
- Run north to Nafien at 65, 8, right outside the Felwood mouth of the tunnel, and take Deadwood of the North.
- Clear 6 Deadwood Den Watchers, 6 Deadwood Avengers and 6 Deadwood Shamans in Felpaw Village southwest of Nafien.
- Accept Speak to Salfa, cross the tunnel once you hit Unfriendly, and meet Salfa outside the Winterspring exit.
- Take Winterfall Activity and kill 8 Winterfall Shaman, 8 Winterfall Den Watchers and 8 Winterfall Ursa in Winterfall Village far to the east.
The Timbermaw quartermaster location in WoW Forever is the same cave as always. Meilosh sells the recipes from the central junction of the Hold, Gorn One Eye stands beside him with his Honored stock and the Exalted quest, and Kernda takes the ritual totem quests near the middle of the tunnel. Enter from Nafien’s side and follow the main path; you cannot miss a cave full of bears who finally stopped hitting you.
| NPC | Location | Why you visit |
|---|---|---|
| Grazle | Felwood, around 50, 84 | Intro chain and feather turn-ins |
| Nafien | Felwood, 65, 8, tunnel entrance | Second chain and feather turn-ins |
| Salfa | Winterspring, outside the tunnel exit | Winterfall chain and bead turn-ins |
| Meilosh | Central junction inside the Hold | Quartermaster, cloth hand-ins |
| Gorn One Eye | Central junction inside the Hold | Honored vendor, Exalted quest |
| Kernda | Middle of the Hold | Ritual totem quests |
Reputation Math Nobody Wants to Read
From 2,500 Hostile to Exalted you owe the furbolgs 45,500 points. Regular Deadwood and Winterfall kills pay 5 each until Revered. The WoW Forever reputation grind lives or dies on one detail: which points you get from kills and which you are forced to buy with tokens.
| Standing | Points to next | What pays |
|---|---|---|
| Hostile (from 2,500) | 500 | Intro quests and kills |
| Unfriendly | 3,000 | Quests, kills, turn-ins |
| Neutral | 3,000 | Quests, kills, turn-ins |
| Friendly | 6,000 | Kills, turn-ins, cloth quests |
| Honored | 12,000 | Kills and turn-ins |
| Revered | 21,000 | Turn-ins and named mobs only |
A handful of named furbolgs pay more and, according to the Classic baseline data, keep paying after Revered. None of them is fast enough to replace turn-ins.
| Mob | Camp | Rep per kill |
|---|---|---|
| Overlord Ror | Deadwood Village, Felwood | 15 |
| Chieftain Bloodmaw | Felpaw Village, Felwood | 15 |
| Ragepaw (rare elite) | Deadwood Village, Felwood | 25 |
| High Chief Winterfall (elite) | Winterfall Village, Winterspring | 25 |
| Grizzle Snowpaw (rare elite) | Winterfall Village, Winterspring | 25 |
Bank every feather and bead until kill reputation stops at Revered. Turn-ins pay the same at any standing, but every early hand-in pushes you into Revered sooner, and every furbolg you kill after that point is worth zero. Hoarding converts thousands of kills into free rep. Turning tokens in early is donating your evenings to a bear.
Fastest Route to Exalted
The fastest Timbermaw exalted WoW Forever route is not clever, just ordered. Quests first for the one-time rep and the right to turn in, kills with a full bank until Revered, then one long walk to the turn-in NPCs.
- Finish the Grazle, Nafien and Salfa chains before farming anything, because feathers and beads are useless until those quests unlock the turn-ins.
- Loot a Deadwood Ritual Totem from Deadwood furbolgs and hand Deadwood Ritual Totem to Kernda.
- Kill High Chief Winterfall for the item that starts Winterfall Ritual Totem, also finished at Kernda.
- At Friendly give Meilosh 30 Runecloth for Runecloth, and tailors add 2 Mooncloth for Sacred Cloth.
- Grind Felpaw Village or Winterfall Village until kills stop paying, keeping every token in your bags.
- Dump the bank through Feathers for Grazle, Feathers for Nafien and Beads for Salfa, then farm the remainder.
Humans shave 10% off the whole thing through Diplomacy. Forever adds a second discount: the Legacy tree shown in the BlizzCon build has a Diplomat perk reported at 2% more reputation per rank across 5 ranks. A human alt with Diplomat maxed is the correct character for this job, and everyone else is volunteering for extra hours.
Turn-In Items and Where to Farm Them
| Token | Dropped by | Turn in | Rep |
|---|---|---|---|
| Deadwood Headdress Feather | Deadwood furbolgs in Felwood | Grazle or Nafien | 50 per 5 |
| Winterfall Spirit Beads | Winterfall furbolgs in Winterspring | Salfa | 50 per 5 |
The Deadwood Headdress Feather farm WoW Forever players should pick is Felpaw Village. It sits a short run from Nafien, so turn-ins cost seconds instead of a zone crossing, and Chieftain Bloodmaw respawns in the middle of your rotation. Deadwood Village near Grazle works too, but Overlord Ror and Ragepaw do not compensate for the walk.
The best Winterfall Spirit Beads farming spot is Winterfall Village east of Everlook. It is dense, drops Runecloth for the Meilosh quest, and holds both 25 rep named mobs. Winterfall Totemic, Winterfall Pathfinder and Winterfall Ambusher packs around Timbermaw Post and the Frostfire Hot Springs are closer to Salfa but thinner. Alliance players can overlap bead farming with the Wintersaber Trainers quest Winterfall Intrusion and grind two factions with one set of corpses.
Rewards by Standing
All Timbermaw Hold rewards in World of Warcraft Forever sit on Meilosh except Gorn One Eye’s two Honored greens and the Exalted trinket. Prices drop each time your standing rises, so buying a Friendly recipe at Friendly is paying the impatience tax.
| Standing | Reward | Requirement |
|---|---|---|
| Friendly | Recipe: Transmute Earth to Water | Alchemy 275 |
| Friendly | Pattern: Warbear Harness | Leatherworking 275 |
| Friendly | Pattern: Warbear Woolies | Leatherworking 285 |
| Friendly | Formula: Enchant 2H Weapon – Agility | Enchanting 290 |
| Honored | Formula: Enchant Weapon – Agility | Enchanting 290 |
| Honored | Pattern: Might of the Timbermaw | Leatherworking 290 |
| Honored | Pattern: Wisdom of the Timbermaw | Tailoring 290 |
| Honored | Plans: Heavy Timbermaw Belt | Blacksmithing 290 |
| Honored | Furbolg Medicine Pouch from Gorn One Eye | None |
| Honored | Furbolg Medicine Totem from Gorn One Eye | None |
| Revered | Pattern: Mantle of the Timbermaw | Tailoring 300 |
| Revered | Pattern: Timbermaw Brawlers | Leatherworking 300 |
| Revered | Plans: Heavy Timbermaw Boots | Blacksmithing 300 |
| Exalted | Defender of the Timbermaw | Quest reward |
The Defender of the Timbermaw quest is The Root of All Evil from Gorn One Eye. He hands you a Demon Summoning Torch, you plant it at the mouth of the chief’s cave in Winterfall Village, and a demon named Xandivious shows up to disagree. Bring friends. The trinket summons a furbolg ancestor that fights and heals for a short while.
BiS Rewards and Which Class Wants Them
| Item | What it is | Who wants it |
|---|---|---|
| Enchant 2H Weapon – Agility | +25 Agility on a two-hander | Hunters on a stat stick, cat druids |
| Enchant Weapon – Agility | +15 Agility on a one-hander | Rogues and hunters on budget weapons |
| Mantle of the Timbermaw | Cloth mana regen shoulders | Restoration druids, other healers |
| Wisdom of the Timbermaw | Cloth mana regen belt | Priests and druid healers |
| Heavy Timbermaw Belt | Mail attack power belt | Hunters, enhancement shamans |
| Heavy Timbermaw Boots | Mail attack power boots | Hunters, enhancement shamans |
| Might of the Timbermaw | Leather Strength and Stamina belt | Feral tanks, leather-friendly melee |
| Timbermaw Brawlers | Leather Strength gloves | Feral tanks, warriors filling gaps |
| Warbear Harness and Woolies | Leather chest and legs | Feral druids leveling into tanking |
In the old data Mantle of the Timbermaw was a best in slot shoulder for restoration druids in its phase, and the agility enchants lived on hunter weapons for years. Forever merges hit and crit stats and rebuilds every talent tree, so treat these slots as the starting list the beta will argue about, not a verdict carved into a totem.
What Timbermaw Hold Gates
- It gates walking through the Hold between Felwood, Winterspring and Moonglade, which matters more in a version with no flying mounts.
- It gates your first arrival in Everlook on foot, and with it the Winterspring flight path you need for every later visit.
- It gates eleven Meilosh recipes for Alchemy, Enchanting, Leatherworking, Tailoring and Blacksmithing.
- It gates Gorn One Eye’s Honored stock and the Exalted trinket quest.
- It gates no raid, no attunement and no mount, and anyone telling you otherwise is selling a boost.
For the how to get to Winterspring in WoW Forever question: reach Unfriendly, enter at Nafien, cross the bridge, exit at Salfa, then take the Everlook flight path forever after. Alliance players chasing Wintersaber Trainers reputation start here whether they like furbolgs or not.
There is also a quiet Forever bonus. Maxing reputations is one of the Legacy challenge categories reported from the BlizzCon demo, and Classic Plus Timbermaw rep is one of the cheapest Exalteds in the game to set up. Blizzard has not published the full challenge list, so check it in the beta before you grind for points that may not exist.
Timbermaw Lore in Brief
Forever is set in the first year of World of Warcraft, after the Battle of Mount Hyjal and before Molten Core. Its new Mount Hyjal zone shows the mountain healing. Felwood, next door, did not get that memo: the demonic taint left behind by the Legion rotted the forest and the furbolgs living in it.
The Timbermaw are the only furbolg tribe that escaped the corruption, which is why they trust almost nobody. The Deadwood of Felwood and the Winterfall of Winterspring are their own kin, driven mad by fel. Nafien says as much while sending you to kill them, and asks you to spare him the details. The Root of All Evil finally names a culprit, the demon Xandivious, and killing it is the first step of a cure the furbolgs admit will take years.
Where is the Timbermaw Hold quartermaster?
Meilosh stands in the central junction inside Timbermaw Hold, reachable from Nafien’s tunnel entrance in northern Felwood at 65, 8.
When do furbolg kills stop giving Timbermaw reputation?
Regular Deadwood and Winterfall kills stop at Revered, after which only turn-ins and a few named furbolgs still pay reputation.
How many tokens do I need from Revered to Exalted?
Revered needs 21,000 points, so 420 turn-ins of five tokens, which is 2,100 feathers or beads before any racial bonus.
Does Timbermaw Hold unlock a mount or raid?
No, it gates the tunnel, eleven recipes, Gorn One Eye’s goods and the Defender of the Timbermaw trinket, nothing else.
Should I turn in feathers early or hoard them?
Hoard them until kills stop paying at Revered, because early turn-ins end kill reputation sooner and waste furbolg kills.
